  • Patent number: 10650412
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards employing multiple profiles to track identification of users across multiple domains. Multiple application-domain profiles and multiple web-domain profiles may each include a statistical identifier. A profile enrichment store may be generated from the application-domain profiles and web-domain profiles, where each entry in the profile enrichment store may be based on statistical identifiers. The profile enrichment store may be utilized to determine categories associated with a statistical identifier for a request from a client device. A targeted advertisement may be determined based on the determined category and may be provided to the client device. A client caching identifier may be used in a mobile web domain, in combination with the statistical identifier, to track mobile web users. If a request is associated with a profile that includes an affirmative opt-out flag, categories in the profile enrichment store for a corresponding statistical identifier may be cleaned up.

  • Patent number: 10565622
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for optimization of real-time probabilistic model evaluation for online advertising. In one embodiment, a system may receive a bid request for an ad slot, and may receive cached user information with a first ad and a first ad score, and a second ad and a second ad score. The system may generate a first estimated probability of conversion associated with presentation of the first ad to the user, and may generate a second estimated probability of conversion associated with presentation of the second ad to the user based at least in part on the context information, the second ad identifier, and the second ad score. The system may select either the first ad or the second ad for which to generate a bid amount based at least in part on the first estimated probability of conversion and the second estimated probability of conversion.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for presenting targeted offer advertisements to qualified customers while browsing the Internet. A designated interaction region such as a frame or border is positioned on each advertisement, and when a customer activates the border by clicking on or hovering a cursor there over, a menu of selectable options is displayed, from which the customer may select to perform an action on the offer. For instance, the customer may select an option to save the targeted offer to an offer library for later review. Additionally, the customer may select an option to access the offer library to review details of saved offers.

  • Patent number: 10552920
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for detecting location data of co-located users having a common interest. A interest may be determined for a first user, which may correspond to a subject matter (e.g., item, action, or other matter) that the first user has recently expressed interest in. A location of the first user may be determined for the user and, using the location, nearby users to the first user may be located. Using the nearby users, a service provider may determine whether any of the nearby users shared the interest in common with the first user. For example, a second user may have knowledge of the interest of the first user. Based on the knowledge that the second user has in the interest, the first user and the second user may be connected. The users may receive communication information and/or locations of the other user.

  • Patent number: 10535078
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, determining a coverage area associated with an advertising display device, monitoring presence and motion of a plurality of communication devices with respect to the coverage area to determine a viewing time and a trajectory within the coverage area for each communication device, and associating each device with a user profile that comprises demographic data and preference data. Each user profile is assigned weighting factors based the viewing time and the trajectory for the associated device, thereby generating a weighted user profile for each of a plurality of users. The weighted user profiles are then aggregated to generate a time-dependent audience profile for the coverage area that is associated with an item of advertising content at the advertising display device. The audience profile is analyzed; a new item of advertising content can be selected and displayed. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10504147
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for authorizing access to resources to entities by representing objects in a graph database. Entities and resources are represented by nodes in the graph, and permissions by edges connecting the nodes. Nodes may be grouped into groupings, the inclusion of a node in a group being represented by an edge. The graph comprises one or more bipartite graphs, such that nodes of one set do not have edges connecting nodes in the set. Navigation of the graph is performed to determine permissions for the entity to access the resources, such as by utilizing edges and inverse edges in the graph to walk a path to the center of the graph, the edges being associated with the permission required to perform the access.

  • Patent number: 10460327
Abstract: Techniques are described that provide a reading pane for reading one or more content portions of a work and a guide pane that displays a structured overview of additional information from the corpus that is focused by an analysis of information from the currently-visible content portion of the work. The contents of the currently-visible content portion displayed within the reading page are used to derive dynamic representations of the user's immediate interests. At the user's request, a structured persistent context-aware guide is computed and displayed. The persistent context-aware guide provides a framework for accessing other parts of the corpus having the most-related information. The elements in the persistent context-aware guide are other content portions or other organizations such as sections, chapters, or articles in the corpus. The persistent context-aware guide may also incorporate additional closely-related information elements from outside the corpus including advertisements.

  • Patent number: 10460340
Abstract: A method for verifying an ad request includes verifying a signature including the ad request using symmetric or asymmetric keys. Using symmetric keys, after an ad request having a first signature is received, a signature generation algorithm is executed to generate a second signature. If the first signature matches the second signature, then the ad request is determined to be verified. Using asymmetric keys, after an ad request having a signature is received, a signature verification algorithm is executed to determine if the signature matches the ad request. If so, then the ad request is determined to be verified.

  • Patent number: 10453070
Abstract: A system, method, apparatus, and processor readable non-transitive storage media are described for matching items in large datasets based on non-invasive fingerprints of users so that collected metric data for advertisements (media) and behavioral data may be reconciled and analyzed. Since user fingerprints may not generate a unique one to one correspondence or mapping under certain constraints, the various embodiments employ a sampling method that optimally matches the output of a random sampling of non-invasive fingerprints. The use of non-invasive fingerprints and specialized sampling enables the various embodiments to provide advanced analytics for advertising content and metric data in targeted behavior advertising campaigns. To compare impressions with user profile data, the various embodiments employ in part the time stamp dimension of user profiles to generate temporally unique persistent non-invasive fingerprints.

  • Patent number: 10438221
Abstract: Techniques for generating matchups of sale and coupon deals are described. For example, deal data that pertains to a sale deal and a coupon deal is received. A sale brand identification and a coupon brand identification are identified based on the deal data. A first set of deal data including the sale brand identification and corresponding to the sale deal, and a second set of deal data including the coupon brand identification and corresponding to a coupon deal are determined based on the deal data. A matchup of the sale deal and the coupon deal is generated based on matching the sale brand identification and the coupon brand identification, detecting a sale deal type in the first set of deal data and a coupon deal type in the second set of data, and determining that a sale deal's and a coupon deal's validity periods overlap and have not expired.
