  • Patent number: 10198179
Abstract: A non-transitory computer readable medium includes a character input system including a first band-shaped key area displayed including the characters of character groups including representative characters lined up one by one. When a touch point is detected in this area, a second band-shaped key area is displayed including the characters of the group including the representative characters lined up at that detection position. When movement of a touch point from the first band-shaped key area to the second band-shaped key area is detected, a band-shaped candidate area is displayed including candidate character strings matching the characters in a line at that movement position. These areas are arranged in the width direction and with their orientations aligned. When the touch point disappears after moving from the second band-shaped key area to the band-shaped candidate area, the candidate character string displayed at that disappearance position is confirmed as the input character string.

  • Patent number: 10198151
Abstract: Video navigation systems are provided and enable viewing creating an image stack and select videos in less time with less effort and less repetitive motions. The navigation device, for example, can include: (i) a video engine with a frame grabber; (ii) an indexing state selector for independently selecting a desired subset within the independently viewable subsets, the desired subset indexed for an efficient image selection with a single click of the indexing state selector; and, (iii) a scrolling state selector for scrolling through the desired subset as a data series of the discrete images. And, a graphical user interface can be operably connected to the processor for viewing the plurality of sets of discrete sets of images. The systems, components, devices, and methods provided are solutions to the problem of providing rapid, efficient process for viewing a data-stack of images by implementing, for example, “point-free” steps and less repetitive motions.

  • Patent number: 10140284
Abstract: A graphical keyboard including a number of keys is output for display at a display device. The computing device receives an indication of a gesture to select at least two of the keys based at least in part on detecting an input unit at locations of a presence-sensitive input device. In response to the detecting and while the input unit is detected at the presence-sensitive input device: the computing device determines a candidate word for the gesture based at least in part on the at least two keys and the candidate word is output for display at a first location of the output device. In response to determining that the input unit is no longer detected at the presence-sensitive input device, the displayed candidate word is output for display at a second location of the display device.

  • Patent number: 10120525
Abstract: Positioning pads are displayed via a display device to facilitate movement of a position of interest (e.g., as indicated by a cursor) with respect to a structured object also displayed via the display device. The structured object is analyzed to determine predicted locations to which a user may subsequently wish to navigate the position of interest, and positioning pads are displayed at, or associated with, the predicted locations. When activation of a positioning pad is detected, (i) the position of interest is moved to the location of, or associated with, the positioning pad, and (ii) the positioning pad is no longer displayed via the display device.

  • Patent number: 10089000
Abstract: Techniques described herein enable auto targeting assistance for input devices. Among a number of aspects of the present disclosure, techniques disclosed herein enable a computing device to receive a directional input signal from a wide range of input devices to select an interface element from a number of interface elements based on an arrangement of the interface elements. In some configurations, one or more angles and distances can be measured from an interface element to a vector derived from an input signal. The angles and distances can be used to select the interface element based on one or more criteria, including a weighted set of angles and distances. Auto scrolling functions can also bring a hidden interface element into a viewing area. The techniques disclosed herein can provide such functionality without requiring a UI programmer to provide complex code that associates individual interface elements for navigational purposes.
