Abstract: A computing device is described that includes at least one processor and a memory including instructions that when executed cause the at least one processor to output, for display, a graphical keyboard comprising a plurality of keys, and determine, based on an indication of a selection of one or more keys from the plurality of keys, text of an electronic communication. The instructions, when executed, further cause the at least one processor to identify, based at least in part on the text, a searchable entity or trigger phrase, generate, based on the searchable entity or trigger phrase, a search query, and output, for display, within the graphical keyboard, a graphical indication to indicate that the computing device generated the search query.

Abstract: Disclosed is a mobile terminal for displaying at least one graphical user interface (GUI) on a standby screen, by which a graphic user interface for supporting interactions between a user and an operating program, an operating system or the like more smoothly can be efficiently displayed. The present disclosure includes a display unit configured to display a 1st standby screen and a prescribed graphic user interface displayed on the 1st standby screen and a controller, if a region of the 1st standby screen displayed on the display unit is changed, controlling at least one of a display style and a display information of the prescribed graphic user interface displayed on the display unit to be changed based on the changed region of the 1st standby screen.

Abstract: Image analysis systems components, devices, and methods are provided for viewing the image data stack in less time with less effort and less repetitive motions. The navigation device, for example, can include: (i) an indexing state selector for independently selecting a desired subset within the independently viewable subsets, the desired subset indexed for an efficient image selection with a single click of the indexing state selector; and, (ii) a scrolling state selector for scrolling through the desired subsest as a data series of the discrete images. And, a graphical user interface can be operably connected to the processor for viewing the plurality of sets of discrete sets of images. The systems, components, devices, and methods provided are solutions to the problem of providing rapid, efficient process for viewing a data-stack of images by implementing, for example, “point-free” steps and less repetitive motions.

Abstract: A graphical keyboard including a number of keys is output for display at a display device. The computing device receives an indication of a gesture to select at least two of the keys based at least in part on detecting an input unit at locations of a presence-sensitive input device. In response to the detecting and while the input unit is detected at the presence-sensitive input device: the computing device determines a candidate word for the gesture based at least in part on the at least two keys and the candidate word is output for display at a first location of the output device. In response to determining that the input unit is no longer detected at the presence-sensitive input device, the displayed candidate word is output for display at a second location of the display device.

Abstract: A method of updating a didactic information display includes providing information for display on a number of interactive information devices. The method includes receiving and aggregating data related to interactions from users of the number interactive information devices. The data includes a location and a timestamp associated with each of the interactions. Each of the interactions is related to a subset of the information displayed on one of the number of interactive information devices. The method includes determining a most relevant subset of the information for a plurality of sets of parameters and determining a current set of parameters from the plurality of sets of parameters. The method includes communicating a command to a passive display device located remotely from the number of interactive information devices. The command may cause the passive display device to display the most relevant subset of the information based on the current set of parameters.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product for facilitating troubleshooting of remote workstation issues reported by an end user to a technical support center analyst in an enterprise network. A plurality of remote workstation software support tools are encapsulated in a support center utility application. Upon receiving a call from an end user (also referred to as customer herein), the remote workstation name for the end user is entered into the support center utility application. This causes information for the remote workstation and end user to be presented to the analyst via a support center utility application interface. At least one encapsulated remote workstation software support tool is launched based on an issue reported by the end user, the tool being pre-populated with information for the remote workstation from the support center utility application interface.

Abstract: In some examples, a device presents a plurality of icons of items, such as applications, content items, etc., in a user interface. When determining how to present the icons, the device may refer to an access history that identifies which items of a plurality of items have been accessed on the device. One or more of the icons may be presented in a designated area of the interface based at least in part on a frequency with which the items corresponding to the one or more icons have been accessed on the device. In addition, the one or more icons may be selected for presentation in the designated area based at least in part on a current context of the device, which may include at least one of a current time, a current location of the device, or a current activity of a user of the device.

Abstract: In some embodiments, techniques for processing a playlist may include associating a first tag with the playlist, a first digital media element, and a second digital media element; creating a playlist expansion for the playlist, including determining a plurality of tags associated with the playlist including the first tag and a second tag, adding digital media elements associated with the second tag to the playlist expansion, determining digital media elements associated with the first tag, including the first digital media element and the second digital media element, determining that the first digital media element, but not the second digital media element, is already in the playlist expansion, and adding the second digital media element, but not the first digital media element, to the playlist expansion; selecting either the first digital media element or the second digital media element; and processing the selected digital media element.

Abstract: The techniques and mechanisms described herein are directed to a method for managing multiple content windows. The content windows may host a web browser, a shell view, a word processing application, and the like. A set of content windows are grouped into a frame in a manner such that a taskbar shows one item for the set of content windows. Each content window is associated with a tab for the frame. A content-specific menu may be associated with each tab. The content-specific menu includes a set of commands based on the heterogeneous content hosted in the content window. The set of commands provide functionality to the heterogeneous content.

Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for server-side modification of messages during a mobile terminal message exchange. Upon receiving a dialog message (e.g., an email message) from a first user device, the method determines the format (e.g., IMAP) of the dialog message in order to insert similarly-formatted additional content. Then, the method modifies the dialog message by inserting selected additional content into the dialog message. The method receives a request from a second user (at a mobile terminal) and the method transmits the outbound dialog message with the inserted additional content to the second user's mobile terminal. The second user's mobile terminal supports native applications for reviewing the additional content, and some modified dialog messages include personalized content, including personalization based on the dialog message from the first user device. The second user reviews the personalized content on the mobile terminal without having to explicitly launch a browser.

The system includes a touch screen configured to detect a touch on a touch screen panel, an outputter configured to output at least one of a vibration and a sound, a press sensor configured to detect user's pressing the touch screen panel by more than a predetermined strength, and a controller configured to, when the touch is detected where a user interface icon is displayed, control the outputter to output at least one of the vibration and the sound corresponding to the user interface icon, and, when a press on the touch screen panel is detected within a predetermined time after the touch is detected, perform a job corresponding to the user interface icon of location where the touch is detected.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for editing an image in a portable terminal which can conveniently edit the image are provided. The apparatus for editing the image includes a touch screen unit for displaying an image, and a controller for controlling such that, when one or more edit points are selected from edit points displayed in the image in an image edit mode, an edit function window for editing the selected one or more edit points is displayed.

Abstract: An electronic device with a display can receive an alert comprising information, and in response to receiving the alert, issue a perceptual output. The device can detect a user input and determine whether the user input was detected within a predetermined time interval after the perceptual output. In accordance with a determination that the user input was detected within the predetermined time interval, the device can display a notification on the display, wherein the notification comprises a first portion of the information. If the device continues to detect the user input after a second predetermined time period, the device can display a second portion of the information, where the second portion is different from the first portion.

Abstract: A method for automated avatar mood effects in a virtual world may include detecting occurrence of a mood changing condition relatable to a user's avatar. The method may also include determining an avatar mood effect from a plurality of predefined avatar mood effects to be applied to the user's avatar in the virtual world based on the detected mood changing condition. The method may further include automatically applying the avatar mood effect to the user's avatar in the virtual world in response to detecting occurrence of the mood changing condition and determining an applicable avatar mood effect based on the detected mood changing condition and presenting the automatically applied avatar mood effect in association with the user's avatar in the virtual world.

Abstract: A method and system for processing recorded communications over a network provides a communication via a network to a recording server adapted for hosting a recordable meeting. The recording server includes a processor with a memory and communicates with the network and an identification code is provided for the recordable meeting along with text related to the communication, which is stored in data storage of the recording server. At least one pointer can be inserted during or after the meeting is recorded, forming a recorded meeting with at least one pointer mapped to the text of the recorded meeting. The recorded meeting with at least one pointer is then saved into the data storage that can be accessed by an interested user.

Abstract: A method of reducing duplications of content items across multiple content item lists presented to a user is disclosed. A first set of content items is received. It is detected that the first set of content items was communicated for presentation to a user in a first list. A second set of content items is received. It is determined that the second set of content items includes a duplicate content item, the duplicate content item being a content item that was included in the first set of content items. Based on a satisfaction of an omission criterion, an indication is provided that the content item is to be omitted from the second set of content items before the second set of content items is communicated for presentation to the user in a second list.

Abstract: Systems and methods for haptic and gesture-driven paper simulation are disclosed. For example, one disclosed method includes the steps of receiving an electronic document; receiving metadata associated with the electronic document, the metadata comprising a characteristic indicating a type of paper; generating and transmitting a display signal configured to cause display of the at least a portion of the document; and generating and transmitting a haptic signal based on the type of paper, the haptic signal configured to cause a haptic output device to generate a haptic effect.
