  • Patent number: 10902479
Abstract: A computer receives a request for graphical display source code for a computerized graphical advertisement display, and retrieves seed images including a plurality of seed image features. The computer generates candidate images based on the one or more seed images, where the computer alters a first aspect of a seed image to generate an altered seed image having a plurality of altered seed image features and the computer alters a second aspect of the altered seed image to generate a candidate image having a plurality of candidate image features. The computer generates candidate image scores based upon a context of the advertisement display and the plurality of candidate image features. The computer selects an image from the candidate images based on the candidate image scores and generates the graphical display source code based on the selected image, a size of the advertisement display, and display capabilities of the user device.

  • Patent number: 10896437
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for optimizing and reporting time spent by a user engaged in a session. The system first obtains data associated with a presentation of an item of content at a mobile device, the presentation being divided into multiple partitions. Based on the data, the system adjusts at least one respective length of time associated with the multiple partitions to yield at least one adjusted length of time, the at least one adjusted length of time reflecting estimated time of user engagement with content associated with at least one of the multiple partitions. The system then determines an amount of time spent by a user at the mobile device engaging in the presentation based on the at least one adjusted length of time and the multiple partitions.

  • Patent number: 10885544
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for measuring the effectiveness of a marketing and advertising campaign directed at consumers. The systems and methods receive data corresponding to consumers that were served impressions in the campaign, and match the data to identifiers for credit records of the consumers. Credit record activity information in the credit records related to products and services of the campaign can be retrieved and potentially depersonalized. The credit record activity information can be the basis of a campaign report for adjusting and optimizing the campaign, in the case of an in-flight campaign report, or future campaigns, in the case of a post-campaign report. More accurate measurement of the effectiveness of the campaign can be obtained due to linking of a consumer's activity with the campaign.

  • Patent number: 10853428
Abstract: An online system identifies seed users with a high value score to a third party system. The online system identifies features of each of the seed users. A weight for each of the identified features is identified. The identified features are divided into a plurality of buckets, each bucket indicating a property associated with one or more of the identified features. Each bucket is ranked according to the weights of the identified features in each bucket. The online system identifies an additional user that has a threshold measure of similarity the seed users. The online system transmits a content item to the additional user for presentation. Additionally, the online system transmits one or more third party-presentable factors based on the bucket having the highest rank to the third party system, the third party-presentable factors indicating a reason as to why the additional user was presented with the content item.

  • Patent number: 10846374
Abstract: A request for a digital license associated with a software product is received from a device. The request includes a user ID of a user of the device, with the digital license having been generated in response to a request to activate the software product with a product key. A check is made as to whether a digital license bound to the user ID is available, and also whether the digital license can be returned to the device in accordance with the terms of the digital license. The digital license is returned if the digital license can be returned to the device in accordance with the terms (regardless of whether the device is a same device from which the product key was activated), and otherwise is not returned. The digital license can be removed from the device in accordance with the terms of the digital license.

  • Patent number: 10839420
Abstract: A markdown budget user interface is provided that implements access to large-scale computational resources capable of concurrently manipulating a number of multi-million item data sets and that allows a retailer to specify inputs. The inputs include a markdown budget constraint that applies across all retailer stores, a group of store-product data sets that each include initial prices and markdown start prices of different combinations of products within all of the retailer stores, and a markdown objective, selected from a group including profit, revenue, and sales volume, to be maximized within the markdown budget constraint. The inputs are received from the retailer using the markdown budget user interface and the large-scale computational resources are invoked to determine a markdown recommendation that includes an indication of the store-product data sets that satisfy both the markdown budget constraint and the markdown objective. The markdown recommendation is provided to the retailer.

  • Patent number: 10839413
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for supporting loyalty tiers. According to certain aspects, a custom number of loyalty tiers may be specified. Dynamic tier boundaries may be defined for each tier based upon a specified number of loyalty points, a percentile of total loyalty points, or a combination thereof. Periodic recomputing of tier boundary values can support dynamic loyalty tiers. According to certain other aspects, a user loyalty status may include a current tier and a pending tier. User loyalty points may be updated for a current loyalty activity. The updated user loyalty points may be compared with a point boundary for the pending tier and the user may be updated to the pending tier. Transacting the tier update with the server may be bypassed to reduce tier update latency. Also, immediate access at the client to features associated with the updated current tier may be supported.

  • Patent number: 10841729
Abstract: Techniques for supporting network independent location services (LCS) are described. In one design, a location center may communicate with a terminal to establish an account for the terminal with the location center for location services. The location center may establish the account for the terminal independent of a home network or a serving network for the terminal. During signup to establish the account, the location center may (i) provide address information for the location center, security information, and/or other information for the location center and (ii) receive public identity information and/or other information for the terminal. The location center may thereafter provide location services to the terminal based on the established account and without interacting with the home or serving network for the terminal. Techniques for supporting delivery of assistance data are also described.

  • Patent number: 10825057
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments illustrate methods for displaying targeted content on a digital signage board (DSB). The method includes receiving encrypted profile information from each of a plurality of user-computing devices when the plurality of user-computing devices is in a proximity range of the DSB, wherein the DSB is associated with one or more products and/or services. The method further includes aggregating the encrypted profile information received from each of the plurality of user-computing devices to generate an aggregated encrypted profile. Further, the method includes transmitting the aggregated encrypted profile to a content server, wherein the content server decrypts the aggregated encrypted profile to select the targeted content from a content repository associated with the one or more products and/or services, wherein the targeted content is displayed on the DSB.
