  • Patent number: 8186365
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a cosmetic case. The cosmetic case opens a discharge port of a main body by a support unit that is pushed backwards when a puff is pressed, and closes the discharge port when the puff is released, thus stopping discharging powder. The cosmetic case for containing powder is constructed so that a control unit controls the discharge of powder to the puff, using the simple support unit having thin legs, thus allowing the powder to be discharged only when necessary. Further, the cosmetic case has the simple support unit, so that the manufacture and assembly of the cosmetic case is easy, and the smooth flow of powder is permitted, and has no part in which the powder may be caught or accumulated, thus allowing the support unit to perform an excellent support function for a lengthy period of time.

  • Patent number: 8151808
Abstract: An elastic hair clip includes a clip frame composed of a first clip frame and a second clip frame, and a joint member. The first and the second clip frame respectively have one end integrally forming a joined end and another end forming an open end, respectively. A clipping strip is disposed between the first and the second clip frame, a little shorter than the first and the second clip frame and having one end formed integrally with the joined end of the first and the second clip frame. When the hair clip is used, the open ends of the first and the second clip frame are combined together by the joint member to make the first and the second clip frame properly curved for clipping hair with the help of the clipping strip.

  • Patent number: 8141565
Abstract: The appliance includes a two-piece elongated handle with first and second handle pieces rotatably hinged via a locking stop which locks the handle upon full extension. A head piece rotatably mounted on the second handle piece with a coupling rotatably linking the head to the handle. The head piece is biased to a set position with a spring or torsion loadable stem such that upon rotation, the head returns to the set position. The front face of the planar plate has spaced hook ended pins upon which is releaseably mounted a removable cream bearing pad. The bearing pad includes a sponge pad for the lotion, soap or cream and a thin interfacing cloth attached to the rear of the bearing pad. The interfacing cloth has a multiplicity of loops which cooperate with the hooked pins for removable attachment of the bearing pad on the head piece.

  • Patent number: 8132576
Abstract: A capsule for containing a chemical coloring agent as it treats a lock of hair has a male side with a projection and a female side with a cavity, connected by a hinge that allows the projection and the cavity to be swung into sealing relationship with the hair trapped therebetween. A reinforcing pattern of interconnected elements form a region of one of the surfaces, the pattern forming an array of spaced-apart islands. The interconnected elements provide enhanced rigidity for the capsule and provide the capsule a better grip on the hair to maintain the capsule in place. The male side and/or female side may be provided with a trough positioned opposite the hinge to reduce overflow of the coloring agent, and can be provided with a well positioned near the hinge to allow the hair to more readily distribute itself when folded over.

  • Patent number: 8132577
Abstract: An adjustable auto-clasp barrette includes a base, a hinged and clasped locking arm, and a resilient leaf spring positioned between the base and the locking arm. The locking arm and the leaf spring cooperate to engage the hair to secure the barrette in the user's hair. An adjustment coupling permits the positions of the leaf spring ends to be longitudinally adjusted relative to the base to increase or decrease how much the leaf spring deflects and bows outwardly. With the spring ends positioned farther apart the leaf spring is less bowed for holding thicker hair or a larger volume of finer hair. And with the spring ends positioned closer together the leaf spring is more bowed for holding finer hair or a smaller volume of thick hair.

  • Patent number: 8061365
Abstract: An automated nail polishing is provided. The device includes an arm having a plurality of linkages rotatably connected to each other. The end of the arm includes a port to removably receive a brush. The linkages are capable of controlled movement through an integrated circuit and motors. A hand platform is also provided with a groove and sensor for receiving a user finger. When the finger is placed in the groove, the integrated circuit can move the arm to dip the brush into a liquid receptacle and then move the arm to brush the liquid onto a user's fingernail.
