  • Patent number: 5692601
Abstract: A storage container for elongated pieces of jewelry, such as necklaces and bracelets, having a base member, a cover attached to the upper surface of the base member, and a plurality of jewelry support rods also attached to the upper surface of the base member and positioned within the cover. The distal end of each upwardly depending jewelry support rod has a hooked configuration and the cover is removable from the base for display of the jewelry upon the support rods. The cover is also rotatable upon the base member with an opening therein to provide easy access to all jewelry stored therein without removal of the cover. It is also contemplated for the base member and the cover to be configured and decorated as a object d'art or a lamp to conceal and safeguard the jewelry while the cover is positioned upon the base member. Applications may include, but are not limited to, both the displaying of elongated pieces of jewelry and its safeguarding from damage and loss.

  • Patent number: 5690229
Abstract: A bag pack comprises a plurality of easy open handle bags. The bags are easy to open because the exterior surfaces of the bags are cold-welded together so that when one bag is pulled from the pack, the adjacent next bag is at least partly open. The external surfaces of the bags are not welded to the internal surfaces of the bags during the pressure welding process, because the material that forms the external surface of the bag is treated with a corona discharge, which renders the external surface more susceptible to cold weldings. Optionally a static charge is induced on the bags so that each bag is at a different voltage than the adjacent bags so the bags attract each other, and the panels of each individual bag repel each other, to contribute to the easy open feature.

  • Patent number: 5687840
Abstract: A receptacle for plastic shopping bags and like articles comprising an upper member having the general structure and appearance of an upper portion of a doll body, whether a human figure or an animal figure, and a lower element structured and disposed for receiving articles therein. The lower element, which has the general shape and configuration of a skirt, is attached to the upper member and extends downwardly therefrom. The lower element defines a cavity in which plastic shopping bags can be stored, and also has an opening in communication with the cavity that is sized and configured to allow passage therethrough of a plastic shopping bag. The receptacle includes means for suspending the receptacle from a vertical surface, positioned on the upper member so as to substantially prevent the upper member from falling forward and thereby allow primarily a full display of both the upper member and lower element when suspended.

  • Patent number: 5682982
Abstract: A blank for carrying bottles with an engaging edge has a center panel, a pair of securing panels, a pair of handle panels, an exterior grip support panel and an interior grip support panel. The center panel has a plurality of apertures and access tabs formed therein, and each aperture has an access tab associated therewith. The securing panels have apertures formed therein to match the number of apertures in the center panel. The securing panels also have individual flaps formed therein, and each aperture of the securing panels is associated with an individual flap. When the blank is folded and formed into a carrier, the apertures and access tabs of the center panel and the apertures and individual flaps of the securing panel create a corresponding number of bottle receiving collars. Consequently, when bottles are placed into the carrier, each bottle receiving collar engages the engaging edge of each bottle and supports each bottle during transport.

  • Patent number: 5682984
Abstract: A sleeve style closed end carton for a can matrix. The carton includes a corner flap formed integral with each side wall at each end of each side wall. Those corner flaps are wrapped around the matrix corner cans in the carton relatively tightly so as to draw all cans of the matrix against one another in a plane normal to the can axis in order to aid in minimizing movement of the cans within the can matrix one relative to the other. The carton also includes a primary compound panel foldably connected along one edge to a first top wall section, and foldably connected along an opposite edge to a second top wall section, those top wall sections together forming the carton's top wall.
