Abstract: A closed loop control system for monitoring and regulating operation of a grinding mill to reduce material in quantity to exactly match a processor material demand. The control system regulates the operation of components of a grinding mill at in response to a linear interpolation of variables between predetermined set points stored in register tables, so as to substantially match the mill reducing capability with variations in the percentage of the processor material demand, without the need for operator intervention. Multiple register tables are provided to accommodate different feed materials or blends, and an operational history record is maintained to allow for reconstruction of events leading to any component failures.

The frame width adjusting structure comprises two expandable rods parallel to each other and disposed in other side of the main body to be opposite to the retaining piece; a bridging member connecting the outer ends of the two expandable rods and having a receiving cell with an opening that faces downwards; two fixation pillars disposed at top end sin the top of the receiving cell of the bridging member; two connection rods pivoted with bottom ends of the two fixation pillars; a pull handle provided at the outer end with a retaining piece extending downwards and pivoted with other end of the two connection rods.
Abstract: A grinding assembly of a pepper grinder has an inner and an outer grinding members. The inner grinding member is turnably received in the outer member. The inner member has grinding teeth on an outer side thereof, opposing grinding teeth of an inner side of the outer member. The inner member grinding teeth are not in touch with the outer member grinding teeth. The inner member further has a lower end annular part touching lower ends of the outer member grinding teeth. Because the grinding teeth do not touch each other, the inner grinding member can be turned more smoothly.

Abstract: A process for treating a nitride-containing ceramic material which includes the following steps:
(1) comminuting the material to produce a particulate ceramic material having a particle size distribution such that at least 40% by weight of the particles have an equivalent spherical diameter (esd) smaller than 2 &mgr;m; and
(2) a ferrosilicon separation step comprising one or both of the following steps:
a) subjecting the particulate ceramic material produced in step 1 to differential sedimentation in a liquid medium to produce substantial separation of a light fraction from a heavy fraction, ferrosilicon required to be separated being included in the heavy fraction and refined particulate ceramic material being included in the light fraction;
b) subjecting a suspension of the particulate ceramic material to magnetic separation to produce substantial separation of magnetic particulate material from non-magnetic particulate material, refined particulate ceramic material being included in the non-magnetic ma
Abstract: In the mechanical refining of wood chips to produce wood pulp, wood pulp quality is improved by employing low refining intensity at least in a final refining stage; the refining is carried out in a double disc refiner or a single disc refiner at rotational speeds that are lower than those conventionally employed, specifically at less than 1200 RPM in a double disc refiner and at less than 1500 RPM in a single disc refiner.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a rotary grinder with an improved ram and screen. Rotary grinders of the present invention are, for example, used to grind plastic or wood to reduce the size of the material to a desired size. Material to be ground is placed inside a hopper and a ram is used to force the material toward the rotor having a plurality of cutters thereon. The ram does not have to ride in horizontal channels on the sides of the hopper so material does not interfere with or jam the ram. Further, a grooved screen may be employed wherein the screen has a plurality of V-shaped grooves therein in which the cutters travel. This permits the cutters to “clean” the screen so that ground material, for example, plastic, does not block the openings in the screen.
Abstract: A pulper has a circular rotor that carries a set of peripheral blades that rotate within a stator having a set of peripheral lobes that interact with the peripheral blades as they rotate to reduce and defiber materials, e.g., to produce pulp slurries for paper-making. A cone assembly is mounted over the center of the rotor on a base plate. The cone assembly includes a blade that extends across the common axis of rotation of the base plate and the rotor and projects into a tank beyond the height of the peripheral blades and the stator lobes. A support structure, preferably in the form of a “cone”, supports the blade. The cone preferably has a pyramidal structure and in one form extends sufficiently far up the blade so that, typically, no more than 2 to 3 inches of the blade project above the outer surface of the cone. The blade has a triangular structure terminating in a central apex for use in reducing slabs of large sheet materials such as reel broke.
Abstract: An improved horizontally-disposed lower tank for a grinder pump unit, the lower tank being formed of at least one section of corrugated pipe, and at least one aperture formed therein for mounting a grinder pump unit. The lower tank is buried lengthwise in the ground with the aperture(s) directed upwardly. A transition collar is fitted into each aperture of the cylindrical lower tank for mounting grinder pump unit(s) thereon. The lower tank is buried lengthwise in the ground. The horizontally-disposed lower collection tank can accommodate one or more grinder pump units mounted to the inside of the single collection tank, and readily available parts (such as, for instance, the Series 2000—60 gallon tank e.g., from Environment One Corp.) can be used for the grinder pump unit.
Abstract: A method and system for producing an animal bedding material from recycled waste paper, and including one or more chemical additives. The base material is fiberized, and the chemical additives may include: pesticides, disease immune additives (medicines), ammonia inhibitors, fire retardants, or other additives, depending on the characteristics desired of the final product. At least one of the additives is applied as a liquid.
Abstract: An improved main shaft for a coal pulverizer having a selected portion of the main shaft provided with an intervening material such as a thermally sprayed ceramic coating.
Abstract: A method of processing waste is disclosed wherein the municipal solid waste is segregated and processed to recover reusable rubber, metal, plastic, glass and the remaining organic portion of the waste stream is used to make ethanol and other chemicals. One process utilizes a pretreatment step with dilute sulfuric acid to reduce the heavy metal content of the cellulosic component of the municipal solid waste which can inhibit the fermentation of the sugars obtained from such waste. In another, the heavy metal content of the cellulosic component of municipal solid waste is removed via an ionic exchange process, after hydrolysis with sulfuric acid. A process for an economical, energy efficient production of ethanol from municipal solid waste is also disclosed.
