  • Patent number: 10378588
Abstract: A retainer for coupling rotating shafts includes a body and a finger. The body may have a curved section extending in a circumferential direction about an axis and a pair of ends. The finger extends from the body and has a least a portion that extends inwardly toward the axis. The finger may be flexible and resilient and have an at rest state and a second state wherein the finger flexes outwardly away from the axis when acted upon by a sufficient force, and the finger returns toward its at rest state when the force is reduced or removed from the finger. When a second shaft is partially inserted into a first shaft, an object may engage and flex the finger until the object passes by the finger whereupon the finger may return toward the at rest state partially overlapping the object.

  • Patent number: 10371213
Abstract: A tolerance ring comprising a metallic band for spring features and a complementary low friction material for frictional considerations is disclosed. The tolerance ring is designed to operate within a precisely controlled torque or axial force band to provide a defined amount of resistance and sliding force control between components that move relative to each other. Isolated portions of the tolerance ring form regions of contact with adjacent ones of the components. Other surfaces of the tolerance ring comprise portions with spring features that have geometry suitable for their spring rate, rather than conforming to mating surfaces of the adjacent components.

  • Patent number: 10325404
Abstract: A virtual 3D modeling of a custom shell module for a hearing aid from a digital impression. In this process, a pre-modelled faceplate module is selected from a computer database. The style and size of the selected pre-modelled faceplate module is proper for the shell style and options requested. Through motion and rotation, the selected pre-modelled faceplate module is fitted collision-free in the digital impression and its fit is customized with a buffer. The resulting customized faceplate module is integrated with the canal aperture of the digital impression and becomes the virtual custom concha module. This method is suitable for modeling shell styles such as Half-Shell, Canal, Completely-In-Canal, Invisible-In-Canal.

  • Patent number: 10296865
Abstract: A system and method for shipping an item is presented that reduces the number of steps involved in the physical process and protects shipper and recipient privacy. The shipper is not required to label a package with the shipper's name or address, the recipient's name or address, or proof of payment. Instead the shipper scans a barcode on the package that encodes a package identifier, and causes a recipient identifier and payment information to be associated with the package identifier in a database. The recipient then causes his or her address to be associated with the recipient identifier.

  • Patent number: 10272713
Abstract: This device is composed of two pins. Each pin is made of plastic and a piece of magnetic that has opposite magnetic polarity facing each other. The pin can be used as a single unit where it can hold stationery such as papers, envelopes or small pamphlet to a ferromagnetic surface such as metal office cabinet, metal chalk board, refrigerator door or anywhere ferromagnetic surface exist. When used as one single unit the paper or stationery have some degree of rotational freedom and will self-center itself with the heaviest side down. It can also be attached to a center of a personal business card or credit card and be spun like a top vertically, horizontally or upside down on a ferromagnetic surface. However, when used as two individual pin to attach the stationery to a ferromagnetic surface such as metal office cabinet, metal chalk board, refrigerator door or anywhere ferromagnetic surface exist the stationeries will have no degree of rotational freedom and it will be fixed into position.
