Patent number: 6971169Abstract: This invention concerns a heat-resistant assembly having a heat-resistant block conformed to the contours of boiler tubes and the surface of their connecting rib. The heat-resistant assembly has an arm which protrudes from the surface of the rib toward the heat-resistant block and which has a catch on the end. The block has an indentation in which the catch on the arm engages. The block can be hung on or removed from the tube assembly by means of the arms and indentations. The heat-resistant assembly is further distinguished by the fact that a space is created between the end of the arm and the indentation of the block. A fusible substance, which will melt when the temperature of the arm exceeds a given value, is placed in the space. The heat-resistant assembly is further distinguished by the fact that an indentation is formed in the block in which a heat-resistant sleeve is adhered to engage the arm. This arrangement makes it possible to manufacture the heat-resistant block using press molding.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2002Date of Patent: December 6, 2005Assignee: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Yasuhiro Terashima, Yuji Nakagawa, Keita Inoue, Minoru Ike

Patent number: 6959493Abstract: A reliable brake rotor and wheel bearing assembly are proposed which make unnecessary adjustment of runout of brake rotor at the customer's factory. For runout of each of the mounting surface and back of the brake rotor itself, and runout of the side of the wheel mounting flange of the inner member to which is mounted the brake rotor, the maximum difference between the peaks of crests and troughs in each period of surface runout is restricted within a standard value, and the brake rotor is mounted to the wheel mounting flange, thereby eliminating the necessity of mounting of the brake rotor and adjustment of runout after mounting at the customer's factory to provide a reliable automotive wheel bearing assembly.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 2003Date of Patent: November 1, 2005Assignee: NTN CorporationInventors: Eiji Tajima, Shigeaki Fukushima, Akira Torii, Kazuhiro Azuma, Naoshi Kinpara, Hisashi Ohtsuki, Kazunari Yamamoto, Motoharu Niki, Masuo Takaki

Patent number: 6953421Abstract: An electrophotography roller incorporated in an image creating device by the electrophotography comprising a conductive shaft disposed along the center axis, a conductive elastic layer around the shaft, a surface layer on the conductive elastic layer formed concentrically. The JIS A hardness of the conductive elastic layer is 30° or less. The shear modulus of the conductive elastic layer measured in viscoelasticity under the condition of 20° C., 60% PH and 0.1 Hz is 4 105 Pa or more. The width of contact of the roller with another member is sufficiently ensured even under a low pressing pressure. The compression residual strain is small even after the roller is pressed against another member for a long time. If the roller is used as a development roller, a sharp image with less density unevenness due to the residual strain is created.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2000Date of Patent: October 11, 2005Assignee: Kaneka CorporationInventors: Hidenari Tsunemi, Jun Kamite, Keizo Asaoka, Kenji Kobayashi

Patent number: 6942607Abstract: A charge roller utilizes a foam rubber substance where epichlorohydrin oxide rubber and an acrylonitrile butadiene rubber are mixed at a ratio of 5:95, or utilizing a crosslinking rubber substance made of epichlorohydrin oxide rubber and acrylonitrile butadiene rubber having a polar low molecular polymeric characteristic, thus allowing the charge roller to maintain a low volume resistivity of 107 ? cm to 108 ? cm. As a result, the surface of a photosensitive drum can be charged by a minimum charging voltage, to thereby significantly reduce an amount of ozone. Since a non-crosslinked low molecular polymeric substance existing at a resilient rubber is significantly reduced, the low molecular polymeric substance of the charge roller may not be migrated onto a surface of the photosensitive drum even if the charge roller is in contact with a photosensitive drum for a long time period during a stoppage of operation of an image forming apparatus.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 2002Date of Patent: September 13, 2005Assignee: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hae-Seog Jo, Hee-Won Jung

Patent number: 6941631Abstract: A process for aligning an optical component by plastic deformation comprises finding a desired position of an optical axis of the optical component relative to a rest position of the optical axis of the optical component. Then, a deformation force is exerted, which is greater than a yield force of the optical component to thereby plastically deform the optical component in a direction of the desired position. The alignment process addresses mechanical compliance in the alignment system and/or optical system during the plastic deformation of optical components of the optical system. This mechanical compliance arises from the fact that there is typically flexing in the alignment system between the encoders and the part of the alignment system that actually engages the optical component.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2001Date of Patent: September 13, 2005Assignee: Axsun Technologies, Inc.Inventor: Robert K.
