  • Patent number: 4451038
Abstract: An amusement device composed of a transparent hollow sphere and rotatable transparent discs dividing it into two hemispheres. Each hemisphere is further divided into four compartments by transluscent wall segments moveable upon the discs.A rotatable handle is further attached to the apex of the segments from outside the sphere which is able to rotate the compartments. Each disc has a round opening to permit passage of a marble and another opening to permit passage of dice and rotates freely being activated by the dice being trapped between its opening and the moveable compartment wall. The object of the invention is to tilt the sphere and align the openings in the discs by means of the dice so as to permit one to have single colored marble in a number of pre-identified compartments and dice in the pre-identified compartment after sorting the dice and marbles. Any number of marbles and dice can be in the groups as long as the groups are equal.

  • Patent number: 4448420
Abstract: A game of skill is disclosed which consists of a playing grille having square shaped openings formed of sheet material of a depth such that the openings are each substantially cubic in dimensions. The grille is supported with the openings disposed horizontally in parallel relation with one opening at the bottom and succeding rows of 3, 5, 7, 5, 3 and 1 openings, respectively. The grille therefore consists of 25 openings, accessible from either side, in an array as just described. The game also includes 25 dice, each of a size just fitting the openings in the grille. The game is played by two players inserting individual dice, in turn, from opposite sides of the grille. Whenever a player inserts a die which produces a sum of three or more dice equal to a multiple of seven, he scores such a sum. The sums of dice may be up-down, sideways or diagonal. The game continues, restarting if necessary, until one player reaches 1000 points (or other agreed score).

  • Patent number: 4421310
Abstract: In a slot machine, the individual mechanical reels are stopped under the command of an electronic circuit at positions determined by a random count created by the electronic circuit. Specifically, counting registers are continuously cycled through counts corresponding to all possible combinations of the indicia on the reels at a rapid rate while the machine is idle, the cycling being stopped when play begins. The content of the registers at the moment when the cycling is stopped determines the position in which the electronic circuit will stop the reels. The randomness of the count may be increased by cyclically changing the relationship between the counting registers and the reels. The reel positions are delineated by a repeated code providing a different code for any successive three positions. Two sensors are provided to determine the position and detect an error in the stopped position of the reel.

  • Patent number: 4417732
Abstract: A puzzle-game consists of a plurality of jig saw-type puzzle boards with identical pictures and puzzle parts for play. The game is played competitively with suitable chance devices, such as dice. The number of playing pieces corresponds to the numbers which can be generated by the chance devices, i.e. eleven pieces where a pair of dice are used in the play. The individual playing pieces are numbered and the spots on the board where the pieces are to be played bear the same respective numbers. The pieces must be played in ascending order of the numbers from three to twelve and finally piece number two. Each player is allowed a predetermined, e.g. three, rolls of the dice on each turn of play to try to roll the number of the next piece to be played. The roll of a double one, i.e. "snake eyes", during play incurs a penalty. The play of the last piece requires the roll of the double one, hence the name of the game "snake eyes".

  • Patent number: 4411433
Abstract: Apparatus for playing a game including a rectangular game board having 40 hexagonally recessed playing spaces in contiguous and aligned relationship representing 5 files and 8 ranks. Two sets of playing pieces, each set having 9 hexagonal playing pieces adapted to fit in the recessed playing spaces are provided. Each playing piece of each set is marked so as to indicate particular sides of the piece which are invulnerable to attack from an aligned playing piece of the opposing set. In playing a game, a piece may move in any aligned direction any number of spaces but may not "jump" another playing piece. A playing piece may also be rotated in position, constituting a move. A piece having a vulnerable side exposed to an aligned opposing piece is captured and removed from the game and the capturing piece takes its position. The game is won by placing a specified piece in a checkmate position.
