  • Patent number: 10881955
Abstract: A video server is configured to provide streaming video to players of computer games over a computing network. The video server can provided video of different games to different players simultaneously. This is accomplished by rendering several video streams in parallel using a single GPU (Graphics Processing Unit). The output of the GPU is provided to graphics processing pipelines that are each associated with a specific client/player and are dynamically allocated as needed. A client qualifier may be used to assure that only clients capable of presenting the streaming video to a player at a minimum level of quality receive the video stream. Video frames provided by the video server optionally include overlays added to the output of the GPU. These overlays can include voice data received from another game player.

  • Patent number: 10832591
Abstract: Mechanisms for training a human user to perform an operation and provided. The mechanisms generate a domain specific knowledge base comprising a set of entities and corresponding domain specific attributes and expand the domain specific knowledge base to include values for the domain specific attributes through an automated bootstrap learning process that performs natural language processing and analysis of natural language content using a set of pre-condition annotated action terms, thereby generating an expanded domain specific knowledge base. The mechanisms evaluate an input from another device identifying an action associated with an entity in the set of entities, based on a retrieved domain specific attribute value and the retrieved pre-condition annotation from the expanded domain specific knowledge base. The mechanisms output a notification to a user computing device indicating whether the input is correct or incorrect to thereby train a user associated with the user computing device.

  • Patent number: 10810836
Abstract: A system and method for controlling an electronic gaming machine (“EGM”) from a mobile device during a remote access play session. The EGM is switched between a local access mode in which the inputs on the EGM are active and a remote access mode in which the inputs on the EGM are de-activated and a player interfaces the EGM using a mobile device such as a smartphone or a tablet computer. During remote access play sessions, all critical game play operations continue to be performed exclusively on the EGM and not on the mobile device. Critical game play operations include random number generation and determination of game outcome. Game content, including video, screenshot images and audio of the game is transmitted to the mobile device for display to the player. Player input and selections are made on the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 10789815
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of operating a regulated gaming machine may comprise providing a game configured to interact with a player and to generate a skill-influenced random outcome comprising a generated random pattern, skewed by received skillful player interactions, within an arrangement of a predetermined plurality of elements, each random pattern being associated with an equally random probability of being generated. The player may be provided with an opportunity to select the winning pattern. To do so, an opportunity may be provided, and the player may select, a desired pattern of the predetermined plurality of elements as the pattern on which the player wishes to place a wager. The skill-influenced random outcome may then be generated and displayed, the skill-influenced random outcome comprising the skewed random pattern, skewed by the received player interactions, within the arrangement of the predetermined plurality of elements.

  • Patent number: 10786722
Abstract: An apparatus and method for repetitively training a golf swing is disclosed. In some embodiments of the present apparatus, foot placement guides are provided to align a golfer's stance relative to a golf ball on a tee. Motion and other data capture create a swing profile for the golfer's swing, which is compared to the swing of a golf Pro, thus giving swing feedback to the golfer. The apparatus automatically resets the ball position after the swing, allowing the golfer to repeat the swing based on the received feedback while isolating other variables (such as inaccurate resetting of foot position).
