Abstract: Systems and methods for executing content to be rendered on a screen of a head mounted display (HMD) are provided. One method includes executing the content to render interactive scenes on the screen and tracking an orientation direction of the HMD when worn on a head of a user and the interactive scenes are being rendered on the screen. The method includes changing view directions into the interactive scenes based on changes in the orientation direction of the HMD, such that movements of the head of the user causes the changes in the view directions into the interactive scenes. The method further includes receiving images of a real world space using a camera of the HMD. The camera of the HMD is configured to capture a location of real world objects in the real world space relative to the user of the HMD.
Abstract: A system and method is provided for producing and providing educational digital media modules. The system may facilitate the segmentation and synchronization of multiple digital media components for combination in an educational digital media module. The system may further select digital media components for inclusion within an educational digital media module according to user profiles determined according to user input and interaction with the system.
Abstract: A user interface for the display of a parimutuel wagering device, that enables a player to place a combination wager on an upcoming contest, includes: (a) combination indicators that appear in the display, and wherein each of these represents one of the possible winning combinations of the wager, (b) value parameters that appear in the display, and wherein each of these is associated with one the combination indicators, (c) wherein each of the value parameters is a quantitative measure of the likelihood that a wager on its associated combination indicator will yield a return that is greater than the cost of the wager, and (d) wherein this value parameters is calculated from some of the temporally-updated information that is provided by the tote board that controls these parimutuel wagers.
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of operating a regulated gaming machine may comprise accepting, in the regulated gaming machine, funds from a player and enabling the player to play a wager-based game having a plurality of stages and enabling, for a game session, game play and wagers at a current stage of the game. A determination may then be made whether game play has reached a stage complete state in which all requirements necessary for transitioning game play to a next or another stage of the plurality of stages, as may be a determination whether this is a first time, during the game session, that the game play has reached the stage complete state for the current stage. An incentive may be offered to the player to transition game play to the next or another stage when game play has reached the stage complete state for the first time and not offering the player the incentive otherwise.
Abstract: A method and system for detecting negative learning behaviors associated with a student system in an education program environment. Activity information is collected that corresponds to the performance of learning events of the education program. Based on the activity information, a student profile corresponding to the student is generated. One or more features are extracted from the student profile and used by a machine learning model to classify the student profile as a negative learning indicator associated with the student. An alarm notification is generated that correspond to the negative learning behavior indicator.
