Patent number: 5521268Abstract: The present invention is a process for making an electrophotographic toner binder. The toner binder has reduced mercaptan odor at elevated temperatures. The toner binder is formed by mixing monomers in a ratio that determines the final composition of the polymer or toner binder and contacting the monomers with air or oxygen. A chain transfer agent and polymerization initiator are added to the monomers. A suitable suspension polymerization type aqueous phase is prepared.
