  • Patent number: 11831648
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for authenticating requests to access one or more accounts over a network using authenticity evaluations of two or more automated decision engines are discussed. A login request for access to a user account may be submitted to multiple decision engines that each apply different rulesets for authenticating the login request, and output an evaluation of the authenticity of the login request. Based on evaluations from multiple automated decision engines, the login request may be allowed to proceed to validation of user identity and, if user identity is validated, access to the user account may be authorized. Based on the evaluations, the login attempt may also be rejected. One or more additional challenge question may be returned to the computing device used to request account access, and the login request allowed to proceed to validation of identity if the response to the challenge question is deemed acceptable.

  • Patent number: 11823568
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for operating a vehicle using dynamic speed limits. A vehicle can monitor current road conditions by capturing real-time data that is indicative of a driving environment associated with a roadway being traversed by the vehicle. Using the captured real-time data, the vehicle can predict a dynamic speed limit, wherein the dynamic speed limit is a driving speed for the vehicle that is adapted for the monitored current road conditions. Additionally, the vehicle can automatically perform a driving operation for the vehicle in accordance with the dynamic speed limit, wherein the driving operation causes the vehicle to move at a driving speed that is approximately equal to the predicted dynamic speed limit.

  • Publication number: 20230349702
Abstract: The disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for one vehicle to follow another vehicle using alternative types of navigation assistance. In a first example method, a first vehicle uses a first type of navigation assistance to follow a second vehicle. The first type of navigation assistance can be based on satellite signals. A navigation system provided in the first vehicle may detect a loss of the first type of navigation assistance. The first vehicle may then follow the second vehicle to an intermediate location along the travel route, based on a second type of navigation assistance. In an example scenario, the second type of navigation assistance is based on a wireless signal containing information of a travel route of the second vehicle. The wireless signal may be generated by a device located in the second vehicle and/or by a device located outside the second vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11801153
Abstract: Disclosed are powered gait assistance systems that include a controller, sensors, and a motor coupled to a patient's thigh and lower leg and operable to apply assistive torque to the patient's knee joint to assist the patient's volitional knee pivoting muscle output during selected stages of the patient's gait cycle, such that the assistive torque applied by the motor improves the patient's leg posture, muscle output, range of motion, and/or other parameters over the gait cycle. The sensors can include a torque sensor that measures torque applied by the motor, a knee angle sensor, a foot sensor that measures ground contact of the patient's foot, and/or other sensors. The controller can determine what stage of the patient's gait cycle the patient's leg is in based on sensor signals and cause the motor to apply corresponding assistive torque to the knee based on the gait cycle stage, sensor inputs, and known patient characteristics.
