    Abstract: An axially symmetrical molded glass lens has a central longitudinal axis, a lens surface, an annular intermediate area and a mounting flange area. The lens surface is axially symmetric around the central longitudinal axis and is curved. The annular intermediate area is curved and axially symmetric, is formed around the lens surface and has a radius of curvature having a continuously vary modulus that decreases as the radius of curvature approaches the annular intermediate area. The mounting flange area is formed around and connects smoothly to the annular intermediate area. The axially symmetrical molded glass lens has fine precision, a high production rate and a low cost.

    Abstract: A method of forming an electronic device is provided that includes selectively implanting ions into a workpiece, wherein ions are implanted into a first region of the workpiece that includes a semiconductor material, while substantially none of the ions are implanted into a second region of the workpiece that also includes a semiconductor material. The method further includes depositing a metal-containing film over the first region and the second region after selectively implanting, and then reacting the metal-containing film with the semiconductor material to form a first metal-semiconductor film within the first region and a second metal-semiconductor film within the second region. The first metal-semiconductor film has a first thickness and the second metal-semiconductor film has a second thickness that is different from the first thickness.

The present invention further provides a method for reducing power consumption of a mouse, which includes: detecting a moving speed of the mouse; and transmitting packets with a low report rate when the moving speed of the mouse is less than a default value.

The oxide and/or nitride layers are removed from the covered areas and another metal layer is deposited. The anneal process is repeated with silicide of one thickness formed over the second exposed areas with additional thickness of silicide formed over the previous silicide thickness.

    Abstract: A compressing method for digital audio files mainly utilizes a harmonic structure quad tree (HSQT) to re-arrange the frequency coefficient in each frame, and applies concurrent encoding in hierarchical trees (CEIHT) algorithm to increase and simplify the processing speed; the coefficient of the CEIHT is symbolized according to an arithmetic coding; the record of the probability of the symbol is used to determine the number of bits to be stored; the probability is in inverse order of the number of bits requiring storage, and thus increasing the occurrence probability of the symbol may greatly reduce the number of bits to be stored. As a result, the overall compressing method is done in simplified processing procedures and outputting an audio compressed file with a high compression ratio.

Titanium silicide is disposed on the dielectric layer, sidewalls, and the exposed portion of the semiconductor substrate. The titanium silicide may be formed by disposing titanium on the dielectric layer, sidewalls, and exposed portion of the semiconductor substrate and reacting the titanium with silane. Alternatively, the titanium silicide may be sputter deposited. A layer of titanium nitride is formed on the titanium silicide. A layer of tungsten is formed on the titanium nitride. The tungsten, titanium nitride, and titanium silicide are polished to form the contact structures.
