Abstract: An illuminated display device with a base member with a plurality of cavities therein. Illumination devices illuminate the cavities and emit light through an opening of the cavities in a pattern, and a speaker can emit sounds in synchronization with the pattern. A panel with translucent portions can overly the base member and the cavities. An animated talking character can have an animated mouth cavity complex with multiple predetermined mouth lighting configurations simulative of human utterances. The cavities can be open, or optical waveguide material or positive members can be disposed therein. Reflective material can enhance internal reflectance and light emission.

Abstract: A juicer arrangement comprises a motor-driven appliance (1), capable of extracting juice from fruit, and a vessel (10) for receiving the juice. The appliance has a tubular outlet duct (9) through which juice can flow; the duct consisting of an inner portion (12) that is fixed to the appliance (1) and an outer portion (13) which can be rotated, relative to the inner portion (12), about the longitudinal axis (12a) of the tubular outlet duct (9). Near the outlet end of the outer portion (13) of the outlet duct there is provided a chordally-extending internal wall (15), configured such that, in one rotational position of the outer portion (13) of the duct relative to the inner portion (12), the wall (15) is positioned to act as an anti-dripping dam member to resist liquid flow through the outlet duct (9). In another rotational position of the outer portion (13) of the duct relative to the inner portion (12), the wall (15) is inverted, leaving a gap through which juice can be dispensed.

Abstract: The invention relates to citrus juicers of the kind in which a reamer is supported upright on a shaft driven by an electric motor so that half of a citrus fruit may be pressed down onto the reamer for juice extraction. Typically such juicers are fitted with an arm (20) that carries a hollow pressing member which is intended to be lowered, by pivoting the arm, so as to press a half-fruit onto the reamer, and it is usual for the arm (20) to return to its fully raised position after use. Accordingly, the arm (20) is spring-urged towards its raised position and tends to adopt the raised position during storage and transit. The invention provides a latching means (50) to latch the arm (20) in a lowered position, thus allowing the juicer to be stored and moved around with the arm latched down, thereby making the juicer more compact and easier to handle.

Abstract: An apparatus for allowing separate and independent access to a locked facility by multiple users is provided. The apparatus comprises at least three parts that can be joined together to provide independent access through independent locks that lock adjacent parts of the apparatus together. The apparatus provides stability and separation between the locks when the apparatus is locked or unlocked so that the locks are easily identifiable and do not get lost among hanging chains or cables.

Abstract: The present invention provides filled aqueous caulk and sealant compositions made from high solids aqueous binders chosen from copolymers having a mixture of backbone acid and hydroxyl groups that are copolymerized from 0.5 to 7.5 wt. %, based on total monomer weight, of an hydroxyl group containing monomer, and mixed backbone acid copolymers that are copolymerized from methacrylic acid (MAA) with a second acid monomer having a lower pKa than the pKa of MAA. Preferred, compositions comprise one or more organosilane exhibit the adhesion and joint movement capability required by ASTM C-920-08, as well as good weatherability and aged wet adhesion to glass, even at a filler to binder ratio of 0.2:1 to 4:1.
