  • Publication number: 20220252876
Abstract: A high-assurance headtracking system for a head worn display (HWD) incorporating ground-truth fiducials is disclosed. In embodiments, the headtracking system includes a camera fixed to a mobile platform (e.g., an aircraft cockpit) and oriented toward a pilot wearing the HWD. Images captured by the camera detect fiducial markers attached to the HWD (and fixed in a device reference frame) and static fiducial markers fixed to the mobile platform, each static fiducial marker including a constellation of individual markers having a known position and orientation in the platform reference frame. The headtracking system include control processors for analyzing the images and identifying therein the device-frame and static fiducial markers. The headtracking system determines a device pose of the HWD relative to the platform reference frame and monitors the device pose for drift or error based on the known positions of the identified static fiducial markers.

  • Publication number: 20220239315
Abstract: A data processing platform, method, and program product perform compression and decompression of a set of data items. Suffix data and a prefix are selected for each respective data item in the set of data items based on data content of the respective data item. The set of data items is sorted based on the prefixes. The prefixes are encoded by querying multiple encoding tables to create a code word containing compressed information representing values of all prefixes for the set of data items. The code word and suffix data for each of the data items are stored in memory. The code word is decompressed to recover the prefixes. The recovered prefixes are paired with their respective suffix data.

  • Patent number: 11393034
Abstract: System and method for aggressively trading a spread trading strategy in an electronic environment are provided herein. According to the example embodiments, a trader may configure the automated trading tool to trade as aggressively as possible by leaning on a price without an associated quantity. This allows a trader to possibly obtain a more profitable price as well as get filled faster. Traders submit an order for a spread and the automated trading tool calculates the quote order price based on a defined level of aggressiveness, the leaned on price, and the desired spread price. Based on the level of defined aggressiveness and the gap in the market, the automated trading tool may lean on a mildly, moderately, or extremely aggressive price.

  • Patent number: 11378188
Abstract: A generator seal assembly for preventing leakage of coolant in a generator is presented. The seal assembly includes a coolant side seal ring having a plurality of coolant side seal ring segments. The coolant side seal ring segment includes a seal fluid channel and radial holes circumferentially distributed along the seal fluid channel from leading edge to trailing edge through which seal fluid enters the seal fluid channel. Additional radial holes are circumferentially distributed along the seal fluid channel in a region near leading edge. Additional seal fluid enters the seal fluid channel in the region near leading edge through the additional radial holes such that pressure of seal fluid in the region is increased higher than pressure of the coolant to prevent leakage of the coolant in the region near leading edge due to ration of generator shaft.

  • Patent number: 11374937
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to user authentication. In some embodiments, a first computing device receives, from a second computing device, a request for a user credential to be input into an authentication prompt associated with the second device. The first computing device determines a proximity associated with the second computing device based on a received wireless location beacon and, based on the request and the determined proximity, presents a selection prompt asking a user of the first computing device to select a user credential stored in the first computing device. The first computing device then provides the selected user credential to the second computing device to input into the authentication prompt. In some embodiments, the first computing device receives the wireless location beacon from a remote controller of the second computing device and determines a proximity based on a signal strength associated with the received location beacon.

  • Patent number: 11366745
Abstract: A processor-implemented method, system, and/or computer program product determines a testing regime for program code created in a development system. A risk factor of a user of the development system is calculated based on information relating to previous activities of the user. The calculated risk factor, which describes a likelihood of the user damaging the development system, is used to determine a testing regime for testing program code.

  • Patent number: 11314260
Abstract: A method of operating a mobile robot includes generating a segmentation map defining respective regions of a surface based on occupancy data that is collected by a mobile robot responsive to navigation of the surface, identifying sub-regions of at least one of the respective regions as non-clutter and clutter areas, and computing a coverage pattern based on identification of the sub-regions. The coverage pattern indicates a sequence for navigation of the non-clutter and clutter areas, and is provided to the mobile robot. Responsive to the coverage pattern, the mobile robot sequentially navigates the non-clutter and clutter areas of the at least one of the respective regions of the surface in the sequence indicated by the coverage pattern. Related methods, computing devices, and computer program products are also discussed.

  • Patent number: 11286875
Abstract: An engine block assembly utilized within a liquid-cooled engine includes an anti-cavitation engine block having a first cylinder, a second cylinder, and an inter-cylinder wall section located between the first and second cylinders. An anti-cavitation passage is formed through the inter-cylinder wall section that extends between the first cylinder and the second cylinder. A cylinder liner is inserted into the first cylinder and has an outer circumferential surface toward which the anti-cavitation passage opens. A water jacket extends at least partially around the outer circumferential surface of the cylinder liner. The anti-cavitation passage is formed through the inter-cylinder wall section at a location adjacent a region of thrust displacement of the cylinder liner and enables a flow of liquid coolant in the water jacket therethrough to deter cavitation within the water jacket adjacent the region of thrust displacement of the cylinder liner during operation of the liquid-cooled engine.
