  • Publication number: 20210113008
Abstract: A pressure cooker includes: a base and a lid, wherein the lid includes a mechanical pressure release mechanism. Upon the activation of a solenoid within the base of the pressure cooker, the pressure release mechanism is configured to lift a valve cover, so as to allow steam to be released from an interior chamber of the cooker. Upon deactivation of the solenoid, the pressure release mechanism is configured to return in an initial resting condition, with the valve cover resealing the interior chamber of the cooker.

  • Publication number: 20210117100
Abstract: A hybrid mechanism for operating on a data item in connection with an associative structure combines first-fit and K-choice. The hybrid mechanism leverages advantages of both approaches by choosing whether to insert, retrieve, delete, or modify a data item using either first-fit or K-choice. Based on the data item, a function of the data item, and/or other factors such as the load statistics of the associative structure, one of either first-fit or K-choice is used to improve operation on the associative structure across a variety of different load states of the associative structure.

  • Patent number: 10983915
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for implementing flexible dictionary sharing techniques for caches are disclosed. A set-associative cache includes a dictionary for each data array set. When a cache line is to be allocated in the cache, a cache controller determines to which set a base index of the cache line address maps. Then, a selector unit determines which dictionary of a group of dictionaries stored by those sets neighboring this set would achieve the most compression for the cache line. This dictionary is then selected to compress the cache line. An offset is added to the base index of the cache line to generate a full index in order to map the cache line to the set corresponding to this chosen dictionary. The compressed cache line is stored in this set with the chosen dictionary, and the offset is stored in the corresponding tag array entry.

  • Publication number: 20210110237
Abstract: The nodes of an artificial intelligence neural network may be wave form transistors which signal one another using functions as well as real numbers. The nodes then perform a wide variety of functions, on the functions which they have received as input and then output results (functions) which become the signal to the next nodes in the net. The system utilizes multi-dimensional multi-variable functions. In addition to using functions as signals, the present invention teaches that the edges (connections) themselves may have function inputs influencing them, such that the function which is put into a connection (dendrite, synapse, edge, etc) may be altered during transmission in a way beyond merely being weighted or run through a function in the connection. The electronic version of the wave form transistor features multiple input leads which are under the influence of electro-magnets.

  • Publication number: 20210103987
Abstract: System and method for aggressively trading a spread trading strategy in an electronic environment are provided herein. According to the example embodiments, a trader may configure the automated trading tool to trade as aggressively as possible by leaning on a price without an associated quantity. This allows a trader to possibly obtain a more profitable price as well as get filled faster. Traders submit an order for a spread and the automated trading tool calculates the quote order price based on a defined level of aggressiveness, the leaned on price, and the desired spread price. Based on the level of defined aggressiveness and the gap in the market, the automated trading tool may lean on a mildly, moderately, or extremely aggressive price.

  • Patent number: 10945190
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for predictive media streaming using microlocation. Microlocations of a mobile device can be determined by measuring one or more sensor values at one or more times, the one or more sensor values are determined from one or more signals emitted by a corresponding one or more signal sources. Streaming events can be stored at the mobile device. Each streaming event may include a destination device for playing media and a cluster location, the cluster location corresponding to sensor values that are spatially near each other. A selection of a media item is detected and one or more current sensor values are measured. A current cluster location can be identified using the one or more current sensor value. The current cluster location and the streaming events can identify a particular destination device for playing the selected media item.

  • Publication number: 20210050864
Abstract: A data processing platform, method, and program product perform compression and decompression of a set of data items. Suffix data and a prefix are selected for each respective data item in the set of data items based on data content of the respective data item. The set of data items is sorted based on the prefixes. The prefixes are encoded by querying multiple encoding tables to create a code word containing compressed information representing values of all prefixes for the set of data items. The code word and suffix data for each of the data items are stored in memory. The code word is decompressed to recover the prefixes. The recovered prefixes are paired with their respective suffix data.

  • Publication number: 20210012859
Abstract: Described herein are methods directed to determining the carrier status or genotype of a subject. Described herein is a method that combines experimental and computational approaches to resolve the structure of genomic loci (i.e., the genotype) whose sequences are highly homologous to other sequences in the genome. In particular, the determination of carrier status and/or copy number of a gene in a subject, wherein the gene has a corresponding highly homologous homolog, e.g., gene or pseudogene, utilizes Next Generation Sequencing. Also described herein is a computer-assisted method for such determinations.
