  • Publication number: 20210232505
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for implementing flexible dictionary sharing techniques for caches are disclosed. A set-associative cache includes a dictionary for each data array set. When a cache line is to be allocated in the cache, a cache controller determines to which set a base index of the cache line address maps. Then, a selector unit determines which dictionary of a group of dictionaries stored by those sets neighboring this set would achieve the most compression for the cache line. This dictionary is then selected to compress the cache line. An offset is added to the base index of the cache line to generate a full index in order to map the cache line to the set corresponding to this chosen dictionary. The compressed cache line is stored in this set with the chosen dictionary, and the offset is stored in the corresponding tag array entry.

  • Publication number: 20210235361
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for predictive media streaming using microlocation. Microlocations of a mobile device can be determined by measuring one or more sensor values at one or more times, the one or more sensor values are determined from one or more signals emitted by a corresponding one or more signal sources. Streaming events can be stored at the mobile device. Each streaming event may include a destination device for playing media and a cluster location, the cluster location corresponding to sensor values that are spatially near each other. A selection of a media item is detected and one or more current sensor values are measured. A current cluster location can be identified using the one or more current sensor value. The current cluster location and the streaming events can identify a particular destination device for playing the selected media item.

  • Patent number: 11074216
Abstract: A data intake and query system provides interfaces that enable users to configure source type definitions used by the system. A data intake and query system generally refers to a system for collecting and analyzing data including machine-generated data. Such a system may be configured to consume many different types of machine data generated by any number of different data sources including various servers, network devices, applications, etc. At a high level, a source type definition comprises one or more properties that define how various components of a data intake and query system collect, index, store, search and otherwise interact with particular types of data consumed by the system. The interfaces provided by the system generally comprise one or more interface components for configuring various attributes of a source type definition.

  • Publication number: 20210166477
Abstract: Three-dimensional (“3D”) models of objects are generated and manipulated by one or more computer devices or systems to synthesize two-dimensional (“2D”) images of the objects. The 3D models are generated by capturing depth data and visual images from the objects, e.g., by scanners or cameras, and applying the visual images to a point cloud or other model formed from the depth data. A 3D model of an object may be placed in selected orientations with respect to a 2D plane, and images of the 3D model may be captured by a screen capture, an in-game camera, or another imaging technique. By varying the appearances of the 3D model, nearly limitless numbers of 2D images of the 3D model may be synthetically generated and used to train a machine learning model to recognize the object.

  • Patent number: 11010194
Abstract: The present invention includes embodiments of systems and methods for addressing the interdependencies that result from integrating the computing resources of multiple hardware and software providers. The integrated, multi-provider cloud-based platform of the present invention employs abstraction layers for communicating with and integrating the resources of multiple back-end hardware providers, multiple software providers and multiple license servers. These abstraction layers and associated functionality free users not only from having to implement and configure provider-specific protocols, but also from having to address interdependencies among selected hardware, software and license servers on a job-level basis or at other levels of granularity.

  • Patent number: 11009022
Abstract: A method of balancing a beam pumping unit can include securing counterweights to crank arms, thereby counterbalancing a torque applied at a crankshaft at a maximum torque factor position due to a polished rod load and any structural unbalance. A well system can include a beam pumping unit including a gear reducer having a crankshaft, crank arms connected to the crankshaft, a beam connected at one end to the crank arm and at an opposite end to a rod string polished rod, and counterweights secured to the crank arms, and in which a torque applied at the crankshaft at a maximum torque factor position due to weights of the crank arms, the counterweights and wrist pins equals a torque applied at the crankshaft at the maximum torque factor position due to a load applied to the beam via the polished rod and any structural unbalance.

  • Publication number: 20210131569
Abstract: A generator seal assembly for preventing leakage of coolant in a generator is presented. The seal assembly includes a coolant side seal ring having a plurality of coolant side seal ring segments. The coolant side seal ring segment includes a seal fluid channel and radial holes circumferentially distributed along the seal fluid channel from leading edge to trailing edge through which seal fluid enters the seal fluid channel. Additional radial holes are circumferentially distributed along the seal fluid channel in a region near leading edge. Additional seal fluid enters the seal fluid channel in the region near leading edge through the additional radial holes such that pressure of seal fluid in the region is increased higher than pressure of the coolant to prevent leakage of the coolant in the region near leading edge due to ration of generator shaft.
