  • Publication number: 20160166549
Abstract: The invention provides compositions and methods for blocking the BCL6 BTB domain with small molecule, non-peptide compounds as disclosed and claimed herein. BCL6 is a transcriptional repressor of the BTB-POZ (brie a brae, tramtrack, broad complex/pox virus zincfinger) family of proteins. It is required for normal development of germinal center (GC) B-cells and is also the most commonly involvedoncogene in diffuse large B-celllymphomas (DLBCLs), and constitutive expression of BCL6 in GC B-cells causes DLBCL in mice.

  • Patent number: 9344988
Abstract: A method and apparatus are described for managing a mass registration scenario in a two-way radio system. A site controller in a trunked radio system detects a mass registration condition in which registration requests by subscriber units are likely to collide on an inbound control channel. During the mass registration condition, the site controller initiates a restriction period by instructing subscriber units that are members of particular talkgroups to temporarily cease registration requests. Those talkgroup members are permitted to resume their registration requests when a predetermined delay time has passed since the members were instructed to cease registration, or when a particular silence time has passed without registration activity over the control channel.

  • Publication number: 20160094503
Abstract: A method and a system for controlling a virtual environment of a user, e.g., a child is provided. In the virtual environment, users are able to interact with other users using messages. Each message is made up of one or more items contained in a dictionary. Information is transmitted, e.g., by email, to an agent, e.g., a parent. The transmitted information is information that may be used to authorize the agent to control the virtual environment of the user. The virtual environment of the user is controlled by setting a level of interaction at which the user is permitted to interact with others. The messages may include pre-written messages and messages composed by a user using items contained in the dictionary. A message checker bars unsuitable combinations made up of items contained in the dictionary. Inappropriate language and personally identifiable information may be excluded from the contents of the messages.

  • Publication number: 20160089256
Abstract: Several gastrointestinal surgery procedures are effective as treatments for metabolic disorders such as obesity and diabetes. Minimally invasive procedures including intra-luminal gastrointestinal implants have been proposed to mimic the anatomical, physiological and metabolic changes achieved by these procedures. Many of these designs include long sleeve like elements that prevent contact of food with the walls of the small intestine. It is desirable to have simple delivery systems that can place these implants under endoscopic guidance. However, in order to anchor these sleeve elements safely and reliably, the inventors have previously disclosed anchoring means that anchor the sleeves at the junctions of the stomach and the intestine or the stomach and esophagus.

Abstract: A conveyor drive roller for moving a conveyor medium. The conveyor roller has a hollow drum which is rotatably connected to a first and a second stationary shaft. An internal gear assembly is disposed inside the hollow drum and couples a motor to the hollow drum such that operation of the motor causes rotation of the hollow drum about the first and second stationary shafts. The hollow drum is configured to hold a liquid lubricant in contact with the internal gear assembly. Liquid lubricant flow paths are provided to move the liquid lubricant from inside the hollow drum to outside the hollow drum via the first or second stationary shafts, and vice versa. The liquid lubricant flow paths are configured for connection to a means for cooling the liquid lubricant.
