  • Publication number: 20110125828
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for generating standardized models for a resource via social computing. The disclosed systems and methods generate standardized models for resources via social computing and include receiving a request for the registration of a resource from a first client; collecting data defining at least one property of the resource to be registered and registering the resource with a server having a plurality of clients. The method also includes receiving subsequent request for the registration of a substantially similar resource from a second client; providing the subsequent client with earlier collected data from other clients defining the properties of the existing resource, and receiving data chosen by the subsequent client defining the properties of the new substantially similar resource.

  • Publication number: 20110119113
Abstract: A centralized emission and energy management system is implemented via a server that is accessible to a client organization. In response to a request to recommend best practices for an organizational unit to reduce environmental impact or energy usage, the system selects relevant best practices based on reduction goals and the organizational unit's particular industry. Based on attribute values for the relevant best practices and the organizational unit, the system filters/ranks the relevant best practices to form recommended best practices. The system may transmit a forecast of energy savings, cost impacts, and environmental impacts over an implementation time period for a draft procedure created from a recommended best practice. The system may generate a request for proposal (RFP) including an approved procedure to a vendor. The system may maintain ratings and feedbacks on the approved procedure and the vendor.

  • Publication number: 20110118662
Abstract: Some embodiments of an infusion pump system may include an occlusion sensor that can be used to detect when an occlusion exists in the fluid path between the medicine reservoir and the infusion site on the user's skin. Such an occlusion may occur, for example, when the fluid flow line (e.g., a cannula, infusion set tubing, or the like) is kinked. If the medicine dispensation path to the user is occluded, the user may receive no dosage or a lower dosage of the medicine. As such, the occlusion sensor can be used to indicate when the fluid is flowing or not flowing, thereby permitting the infusion pump system to communicate an alarm to the user if an occlusion exists.

  • Publication number: 20110117912
Abstract: Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate collecting consistent system information when entering a cell during cell selection and/or cell re-selection in a wireless communication environment. SIB(s) can be received while lacking modification period information (e.g., modification period boundary, modification period duration, . . . ). Further, the SIB(s) can be stored in memory with corresponding SFN(s) at which the SIB(s) are respectively received. Thereafter, the modification period information can be identified (e.g., from a SIB2, . . . ). Moreover, an evaluation can be effectuated to determine whether to retain or discard the SIB(s) from memory as a function of the modification period information and the corresponding SFN(s). Further, whether to retain or discard the SIB(s) from memory can be based upon a value tag.

  • Publication number: 20110119202
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to systems, methods, and computer program products for identifying probable impacted business parameters, such as business applications, business teams/organizations at the onset of a business change-event, such as a business project, initiation of product/service offering or the like. Embodiments rely on analysis of historical data and architecture blueprints, driven by a predefined statistical model to determine probable impacted business parameters. Additionally, embodiments provide for determining the level of impact, in terms of hours and financials and/or the priority of the probable impacted business parameters. In addition, embodiments provide for automated notification of individuals and/or entities associated with the probable impacted business parameters.

  • Publication number: 20110119114
Abstract: A CO2e modeling system is implemented via a host server that is remotely accessible by a large number of clients (organizations) and suppliers of goods and services to the clients. The host server accesses a database containing CO2e emission-related data from a large number of suppliers. The client, when determining their indirect CO2e emissions resulting from their supply chain network, then identifies to the host server, via the web, the various suppliers used by the client and the client's amount of usage of the various suppliers. The host server uses its stored conversion factors and other data from the database to calculate the client's indirect CO2e emissions as a result of the client's usage of the particular suppliers. The server may calculate the total CO2e emissions generated by the entire chain of suppliers that are involved with providing a particular product to the client.

  • Patent number: 7944261
Abstract: Method and apparatus for detecting clock loss in clock circuit. An example of the invention relates to detecting loss of a feedback clock signal input to a digital clock manager, where the feedback clock signal is derived from the reference clock signal. A clock divider is provided to produce a divided feedback clock signal from the feedback clock signal. A first pair of flip-flops is configured to store samples of the divided feedback clock signal on consecutive edges of the reference clock signal. A second pair of flip-flops is configured to store samples of the divided feedback clock signal on consecutive edges of an inversion of the reference clock signal. Detection logic is configured to detect whether each of the first pair of flip-flops and each of the second pair of flip-flops store the same value.

  • Patent number: 7945418
Abstract: An approach is provided to manage test transactors that interface with components of a hardware design. A first set of transactors is launched with the first set of transactors sending stimuli to various components that correspond to the first set of transactors. A manager receives signals when transactors of the first set have completed at which point a second set of transactors is identified that are dependent upon the first set transactors that completed. The second set of transactors is launched by the manager. The manager further facilitates transmission of data used by the various transactors. Transactors generate and provide stimuli to various components included in a hardware design, such as a System-on-a-Chip (SoC). Results from the hardware design are passed to the transactors which, in turn, pass the results back to the manager. In this manner, results from one transactor may be made available as input to another transactor.

  • Patent number: 7945579
Abstract: A stopword detection component detects stopwords (also stop-phrases) in search queries input to keyword-based information retrieval systems. Potential stopwords are initially identified by comparing the terms in the search query to a list of known stopwords. Context data is then retrieved based on the search query and the identified stopwords. In one implementation, the context data includes documents retrieved from a document index. In another implementation, the context data includes categories relevant to the search query. Sets of retrieved context data are compared to one another to determine if they are substantially similar. If the sets of context data are substantially similar, this fact may be used to infer that the removal of the potential stopword(s) is not material to the search. If the sets of context data are not substantially similar, the potential stopword can be considered material to the search and should not be removed from the query.

  • Publication number: 20110111383
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system used for competency assessment of candidates. More particularly the present invention relates to an automated system for talent acquisition in an enterprise to identify talented candidates who meet the qualification standards specified by enterprise using a secured and light weight method of providing content including questions and responses in a distributed architecture. The data centre server of the system may connect to Knowledge centre server to receive the secure test content. The test content is transferred to one or more exam centre servers from the data centre server. The exam centre servers assess the competency of candidates connected to them via candidate console devices (computational devices), by generating unique and standardized test content for each candidate. The system enables less effort, time and consequently money, that multiple test administrators may spend traveling to different test locations to support the system infrastructure.
