  • Publication number: 20120138227
Abstract: A method for forming an array area with a surrounding periphery area, wherein a substrate is disposed under an etch layer, which is disposed under a patterned organic mask defining the array area and covers the entire periphery area is provided. The patterned organic mask is trimmed. An inorganic layer is deposited over the patterned organic mask where a thickness of the inorganic layer over the covered periphery area of the organic mask is greater than a thickness of the inorganic layer over the array area of the organic mask. The inorganic layer is etched back to expose the organic mask and form inorganic spacers in the array area, while leaving the organic mask in the periphery area unexposed. The organic mask exposed in the array area is stripped, while leaving the inorganic spacers in place and protecting the organic mask in the periphery area.

  • Publication number: 20120144050
Abstract: A network manager establishes a network connection with a local area network (LAN) using a gateway device that interfaces the LAN with the Internet. A request is transmitted to the gateway device via the network connection to access a Web server of the Internet. A response page received from the Internet via the gateway device is examined to determine whether the response page is a redirect page, or if the response page is from a domain different from that was requested, from a Web proxy server that requires a user to log in, in order to access the Web server. It is determined whether credentials associated with the user required for the login page have been previously cached locally. The cached credentials of the user is automatically provided in response to the redirect page without user intervention to log into the Web proxy server, if it is determined that the credentials have been previously cached locally.

  • Publication number: 20120144378
Abstract: A client version control system (VCS) accesses a remote VCS to retrieve the difference between current metadata stored locally representing a first version of the software packages currently installed and newer metadata representing a second version of the software packages available from a server for distribution, without having to download the entire newer metadata. The client VCS generates the newer metadata based on the current metadata and the difference of the current and newer metadata retrieved from the remote VCS. A package manager coupled to the client VCS to download the second version of the software package from the server based on the newer metadata then installs or updates newer releases of software packages as available from the distribution server.

  • Publication number: 20120143832
Abstract: Various embodiments for rewriting data in a deduplication storage environment by a processor device are provided. A dynamic layer above a sequential deduplication file system (denoted as DFS) implements the rewrite functionality. A user file is composed of one or more DFS files. As incoming data is written into a user file, the data is written by the dynamic layer sequentially into DFS files, created one by one. For each user file this dynamic layer creates and maintains a dynamic metadata file, in a regular, non deduplicated file system. This metadata file contains entries pointing to sections of DFS files.

  • Publication number: 20120138103
Abstract: The present invention is in the field of household cleaning tools. The invention further relates to the use of an air-water jet for the cleaning of hardsurfaces. It is an object of the present invention to provide easier cleaning of hard surfaces. It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a process of easier cleaning of hard surfaces, especially by means of a device that uses a relatively low water flow rate. Surprisingly it has been found that an external mix air-water jet device may be used for cleaning hard surfaces.

  • Patent number: 8194830
Abstract: Data pertaining to interactions between a plurality of customers is obtained. A graph is formed, having a plurality of nodes representing the customers and a plurality of edges representing interactions between the customers. A sub-set of the customers are denoted as previously churned customers. • Patent number: 8195702
Abstract: Techniques are provided for processing a CREATE INDEX statement that avoids one or more locks on the underlying table. The processing of such a statement may be divided into a build phase and a cooperation phase. During the build phase, a journal table is created and published. A snapshot of the table is obtained after the last DML transaction (that was pending at the time the journal table was published) commits. The index is built based on the state of the table as of the snapshot. Any changes to the table while the index is built are recorded in the journal table. During the cooperation phase, the index is partially published. A subsequent DML statement determines whether any changes in the journal table affect the same data as the subsequent DML statement. If so, then those changes are applied to the index followed by the subsequent DML statement.

  • Publication number: 20120134479
Abstract: A processor-implemented method, system, and/or computer program product retrieves a voice print of a caller to a call network. A processor generates a first voice print, a second voice print, and a third voice print of a caller who makes a call to a call network. The first voice print, the second voice print, and the third voice print are consolidated into a consolidated voice print. In response to a request for a particular voice print, the requested voice print is selectively retrieved from first voice print, the second voice print, and the third voice print in the consolidated voice print, and then sent to the requester.

  • Publication number: 20120136741
Abstract: A facility for assessing product replenishment is described. The facility determines that a purchasing entity possesses an item, determines an expiration time for the item, and schedules, for a time preceding the expiration, a unilateral communication to the purchasing entity indicating that the item should be replenished. The facility can also manage automatic item replenishment, including determining a target date for replenishment of the item, transmitting to the purchaser in advance of the target date (when the purchaser is not engaged in an electronic shopping activity) a replenishment proposal, and ordering a replacement for the item. In some cases, the facility places an order within a predetermined tolerance of the target date without intervention by the consumer. The facility can also establish and test a condition for suggesting replenishment, can raise an event when the condition is satisfied, and can unilaterally make the replenishment suggestion when the event is raised.
