  • Publication number: 20120117496
Abstract: A user interface mechanism may be defined by a story from which a wizard engine may create a user interface. The engine may present the story using various user interface containers that define a layout and general functions of a user interface, along with styles that may define the ‘look and feel’ of the user interface. The story may define an action performed once data are collected from the user. The story may also define data passed to the action, as well as the data collected from a user. The story may further define translation routines or other actions that may be launched in response to receiving user action and used to generate data that may be passed to the action.

  • Publication number: 20120116336
Abstract: A collector for fecal discharge is provided comprising a self-expanding resilient collection component, a housing sheath and a transit component. The collection component has an open proximal and distal end and a lumen connecting them. The component comprises interconnected resilient arms circumscribing its contour, wherein adjacent arms are resiliently biased away from each other for exerting outwardly radial pressure for expanding and anchoring the component to rectal walls upon deployment. The housing sheath comprises a flexible and resilient material overlaying at least one of inner or outer contour of collection component without interfering with or blocking its ends or lumen. The transit component provides a conduit for fecal discharge to migrate from collection component to a receptacle and comprises a flexible, tubular sheath having a first open end connected to a second end by a lumen, wherein the first end engages with the proximal end of the collection component.

  • Publication number: 20120115522
Abstract: Methods, devices, and computer program products facilitate resource allocation to entities within a wireless communication network. Interference values are determined in the presence of entities that may or may not be controlled by the wireless communication network. Based on the determined interference values and associated statistics, throughputs associated with the user equipment within the wireless communication network are modified. These modifications enable an increase or decrease in the throughput of the user equipment, which optimizes the aggregate throughput of the wireless communication network while maintaining the interference levels within target levels.

  • Publication number: 20120109718
Abstract: An educational institution (also referred as a university) is structurally modeled using a university model graph. A key benefit of modeling of the educational institution is to help in an introspective analysis by the educational institute. Specifically, the model is quite beneficial for undertaking the analysis of the various issues faced by the educational institute. A what-if scenario requires the model to be suitably changed to address the issue under consideration and the changed model needs to be analyzed to determine how the issue could be handled. A system and method for what-if scenario analysis based on the university model graph is discussed.

  • Publication number: 20120109956
Abstract: A profile prediction system may identify one of multiple user profiles for a single computer. For example, a home computer may have multiple users that may not be targeted unless the user on the home computer can be identified. The system's user identification may be based on a clustering model that considers various browsing characteristics to identify different clusters that each correspond to a particular user or user profile. The model may be generated and refined by tracking web browsing over multiple sessions. Future activity on the computer may be used to identify which user is the source of the activity and the user may receive targeted content including advertisements.
