  • Publication number: 20190269509
Abstract: A device for crimping a radially expandable and collapsible prosthetic valve comprises a crimping loop having a first end portion, a second end portion, and a loop portion extending between the first and second end portions and defining an opening configured to receive the prosthetic valve. The crimping loop is movable between a first state in which the opening has a first diameter and a second state in which the opening has a second diameter smaller than the first diameter such that when the prosthetic valve is positioned within the loop portion, movement of the crimping loop from the first state to the second state is effective to reduce a diameter of the prosthetic valve. A method for crimping a prosthetic valve comprises reducing a diameter of an opening of a crimping loop, thereby radially compressing an at least partially expanded prosthetic valve disposed within the opening.

  • Publication number: 20190263093
Abstract: A multilayer interlayer structure having a first and second polyvinyl acetal (poly(vinyl acetal)) layer and a cellulose ester layer having a thickness of at least 10 mils disposed between the first and second poly(vinyl acetal) layers. The cellulose ester layer can have a higher storage modulus and/or higher Tg than at least one of the poly(vinyl acetal) layers. • Publication number: 20190267329
Abstract: In an exemplary method, a first layer is formed on a substrate. First overlay marks are formed in a first zone of the first layer. A non-transparent layer is formed on top of the first layer. At least a portion of the non-transparent layer is removed from an area above the first zone of the first layer. This provides optical access to the first overlay marks. A second layer is formed on top of the non-transparent layer. Second overlay marks are formed in a second zone of the second layer. Position information is obtained from each of the first overlay marks and the second overlay marks.

  • Patent number: 10364345
Abstract: An monolithic interlayer with high stiffness and when laminated into a glass panel, the glass panel exhibits good clarity, while maintaining the processability of a polyvinyl acetal, such as polyvinyl butyral resin used to make the monolithic interlayer. The monolithic interlayer comprising a polymer blend of: (A) polyvinyl acetal (e.g. PVB); and (B) one or more cellulose esters. The polymer blend increases the structural strength to the monolithic interlayer by increasing the E? modulus of the monolithic interlayer while optionally maintaining good optical clarity.

  • Publication number: 20190209322
Abstract: Disclosed herein are devices for improving coaption of the mitral valve leaflets to reduce or eliminate mitral valve regurgitation. The devices may be used to perform mitral valve annuloplasty, or to serve as a docking station for a transcatheter prosthetic heart valve. The various embodiments of devices are configured for percutaneous and, in some cases, transvascular delivery. Delivery systems useful for routing the devices to the mitral valve are also disclosed, including catheters, balloons and/or mechanical expansion systems. The devices themselves include at least one tissue penetrating member. Methods of delivery include partially embedding the devices in the mitral valve annulus via at least one tissue penetrating member. Tissue penetrating members may be embedded into the tissue in a simultaneous or a nearly simultaneous fashion. Upon embedding, the devices employ various expansion and/or contraction features to adjust the mitral valve diameter.
