    Abstract: An intermediate semiconductor structure in fabrication includes a silicon semiconductor substrate, a hard mask of silicon nitride (SiN) over the substrate and a sacrificial layer of polysilicon or amorphous silicon over the hard mask. The sacrificial layer is patterned into sidewall spacers for mandrels of a filler material substantially different in composition from the sidewall spacers, such as a flowable oxide. The mandrels are removed such that the sidewall spacers have vertically tapered inner and outer sidewalls providing a rough triangular shape. The rough triangular sidewall spacers are used as a hard mask to pattern the SiN hard mask below.

By providing such formulation, the resin composition of the present invention exhibits low dielectric constant, low dielectric dissipation, high thermal stability and high flame resistance, and is useful in manufacturing a prepreg or a resin film, and is further useful in manufacturing a laminate and a printed circuit board.

    Abstract: A light-guide apparatus for accompanying an edge light source to form a backlight module for an LCD display includes an upper light-distributing layer, a middle light-guiding layer and a lower reflective layer. The light-guiding layer further defines a light-introducing surface for allowing lights emitted from the edge light source to enter the light-guiding layer. The reflective layer reflects the lights back to the light-guiding layer. A light-exiting surface for allowing at least a portion of the lights to leave the light-guiding layer is defined on the top surface of the light-distributing layer and is perpendicular to the light-introducing surface. The light-distributing layer, the light-guiding layer and the reflective layer are manufactured integrally into a unique piece by a co-extrusion process so as to avoid possible existence of air spacing in between. Three-dimensional micro-structures are constructed on a reflective surface interfacing the reflective layer and the light-guiding layer.

The present invention provides a method for the preparation of graphene using an acidic reducing agent. The obtained graphene can be homogeneously dispersed in water, an acidic solution, a basic solution, or an organic solution.
