  • Patent number: 10733565
Abstract: Described is an interactive data processing system configured to facilitate selection by a human associate of tentative values generated by an automated system from sensor data. In one implementation, an event may take place in a materials handling facility. The event may comprise a pick or place of an item from an inventory location, movement of a user, and so forth. The sensor data associated with the event is processed by an automated system to determine tentative values associated with the event. In some situations, an uncertainty may exist as to which of the tentative values accurately reflects the actual event. The sensor data and tentative values may be provided to a human associate. The associate may select one of the tentative values. The selected tentative value and the sensor data may be used to train the automated system.

  • Publication number: 20200197730
Abstract: An irradiation method and system for irradiating a target volume, the method comprising: providing thermal neutron absorbing nuclides (such as in the form of a high neutron cross-section agent) at the target volume; and producing neutrons by irradiating nuclei in or adjacent to the target volume with a beam of particles consisting of any one or more of protons, deuterons, tritons and heavy ions, thereby prompting production of the neutrons through non-elastic collisions between the atoms in the path of the beam (including the target) and the particles. The neutron absorbing nuclides absorb neutrons produced in the non-elastic collisions, thereby producing capture products or fragments that irradiate the target volume.

  • Patent number: 10679511
Abstract: A collision avoidance system for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) receives physical space data for a flight area and creates a virtual world model to represent the flight area by mapping the physical space data with a physics engine. The automatic collision avoidance system creates a virtual UAV model to represent the UAV in the virtual world model. The automatic collision avoidance system receives flight data for the UAV and determines a current position of the virtual UAV model within the virtual world model. The automatic collision avoidance system determines a predicted trajectory of the virtual UAV model within the virtual world model, and determines whether the predicted trajectory will result in a collision of the virtual UAV model with the virtual world model. The automatic collision avoidance system performs evasive actions by the UAV, in response to determining that the predicted trajectory will result in a collision.

  • Patent number: 10649976
Abstract: Routing data is copied from a primary data store to a local data store of a computing device. As the routing data is being copied by the computing device, changes to the data continue to occur. After copying all or a portion of the data, the computing device uses a value of a global sequence number (GSN) to determine if mutations have been made to the primary data. The routing data in the local data store is not consistent with the routing data stored in the primary data store when the value of the GSN is larger after the copying of the routing data as compared to the initial value of the GSN when the copying started. When changes have been made to the data, the computing device integrates the changes into the local data store before beginning routing operations.

  • Patent number: 10560057
Abstract: A method is disclosed for estimating a duration that an instance of subject matter-related content will remain relevant. An archive of data sources spanning a period of time is analyzed to identify past instances in time in which a subject matter was newsworthy, and the duration of each instance. On receiving an indication that a user is interested in a current instance of the subject matter, an estimated period of time that the current instance will be of interest to the user is may be determined based on the duration of the past instances. In some aspects, the archive may be a corpus of social media data compiled from a social network, with each data source including or representative of an interaction between users in the social network, and the current instance of the subject technology may include content provided to the user through a social stream.

  • Patent number: 10460120
Abstract: A key-value store is adapted to represent hierarchical structures, such as directory structures, to be associated with objects otherwise mapped to a flat keyspace. For example, one or more key-value pairs stored in the key-value store are designated to have a key indicating the name of a hierarchical structure, and an associated value that maps the structure to a namespace (e.g., of a group of objects to be associated with a directory). Inbound requests for operations related to the objects in a given namespace and defining the structure are checked against such “redirecting” key-value pairs, as well as one or more policies associated with the structure, the namespace, the key-value pairs, or some combination thereof, to determine whether the structure is related to the namespace objects and whether one or more requested actions are authorized against that structure.

  • Patent number: 10416669
Abstract: A system can determine that a simulated (e.g., virtual) weapon has hit a UAV. This can include determining a simulated position of the simulated weapon and the relative position of the UAV. The system can then determine an area of effect for the weapon and determine if the UAV was hit. The system can determine what components of the UAV were hit and to what degree. The system can then determine a simulated condition such as a damaged engine or wing. The system can then receive input for controlling the UAV and combine the input with the simulated condition to generate a control signal for the UAV. The control signal can include decreasing the power to a motor.

Abstract: Embodiments relate generally to systems and methods for identifying the concentration of an electrolyte. A method may comprise scanning a working electrode of an electrochemical sensor using cyclic voltammetry at a plurality of electrolyte concentrations;generating a variable set of readings from the first cyclic voltammetry scan using a potential difference between a hydrogen adsorption peak and a Pt-Oxide reduction peak at each of the plurality of electrolyte concentrations; and determining a correlation by plotting the variable set of readings and the plurality of electrolyte concentrations. In some embodiments, the method may comprise scanning a working electrode of a second electrochemical sensor using cyclic voltammetry, wherein the second electrochemical sensor has been employed;generating a second set of readings; and determining the electrolyte concentration of the electrolyte of the second electrochemical sensor by applying the determined correlation to the second set of readings.
