  • Publication number: 20190265091
Abstract: A system and method for observing fluid flow behavior at a selected site, deriving judgments and recommendations, and further communicating data, judgments and recommendations. The system receives flow rate information, derives a time series of fluid flow events therefrom, identifies compound events consisting of contemporaneous events, disaggregates compound events by application of an unsupervised model, and applies the unsupervised model to derive a solution space of a subset sum problem-type, wherein historical data of the observed fluid flow is not necessarily accessed.

  • Publication number: 20190265190
Abstract: Embodiments relate generally to systems and methods for identifying the concentration of an electrolyte. A method may comprise scanning a working electrode of an electrochemical sensor using cyclic voltammetry at a plurality of electrolyte concentrations;generating a variable set of readings from the first cyclic voltammetry scan using a potential difference between a hydrogen adsorption peak and a Pt-Oxide reduction peak at each of the plurality of electrolyte concentrations; and determining a correlation by plotting the variable set of readings and the plurality of electrolyte concentrations. In some embodiments, the method may comprise scanning a working electrode of a second electrochemical sensor using cyclic voltammetry, wherein the second electrochemical sensor has been employed;generating a second set of readings; and determining the electrolyte concentration of the electrolyte of the second electrochemical sensor by applying the determined correlation to the second set of readings.

  • Patent number: 10303669
Abstract: A key-value store is adapted to represent hierarchical structures, such as directory structures, to be associated with objects otherwise mapped to a flat keyspace. For example, one or more key-value pairs stored in the key-value store are designated to have a key indicating the name of a hierarchical structure, and an associated value that maps the structure to a namespace (e.g., of a group of objects to be associated with a directory). Inbound requests for operations related to the objects in a given namespace and defining the structure are checked against such “redirecting” key-value pairs to determine whether the structure is related to the namespace objects, and if so, the request is internally processed to perform the requested operations against the actual key-value pair(s) associated with the objects without necessitating identification of the objects with a fully qualified name as represented in the flat keyspace.

  • Patent number: 10274731
Abstract: According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein includes a near-eye optical see-through display. The display includes a backlight layer including a plurality of point light sources. The display further includes a spatial light modulator (SLM) layer for modulating light from the point light sources. The spatial light modulator is located in the optical path between the point light sources and a user's eye. The spatial light modulator layer includes pixels that are controllable to modulate light from the point light sources such that the light that impacts the user's eye has a desired intensity and color to display a synthetic image. At least a portion of the backlight layer and the spatial light modulator layer are optically transparent to allow a user to view a real scene through the spatial light modulator layer and the backlight layer such that the synthetic image appears to be overlaid on a view of the real scene.

  • Patent number: 10144668
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for cutting a glass sheet along a cutting line into a desired shape. A laser source is configured to apply a laser beam to a beam location on the cutting line of the glass sheet. A source of cooling fluid is configured to apply a cooling fluid to a cooling band on the glass sheet to reduce a temperature of the glass sheet along the cooling path while elevating the temperature of the glass sheet at the beam location with the laser beam. The source of cooling fluid is configured to apply the cooling path as a cooling ring to circumscribe the beam location on the cutting line with the cooling band circumferentially spaced from the beam location while the cooling path and the beam location move simultaneously together in order to propagate a fracture in the glass sheet along the cutting line.
