  • Patent number: 10623122
Abstract: System and methods are described for automatic pairing a plurality of devices within a vehicle. Based on a seat mapping stored within a server, a seat display unit and its allocated peripherals can be paired in sequence, one-by-one. Thus, a first seat display unit and its allocated peripherals can be powered on. Then, the peripherals can be paired with the first seat display unit, and the first seat display unit and the allocated peripherals can be powered down. Once this is complete, the next seat display unit and its allocated peripherals can be powered on, paired, and then powered down before continuing in sequence until all peripherals are paired with their allocated seat display units.

  • Publication number: 20200065149
Abstract: An engine for allocation of cloud computing resources to clients of cloud computing facilities (simply referenced as “clouds”) collects data relevant to resource availability and characteristics of several clouds and determines for each sought service a cloud of highest service-specific appraisal. Data corresponding to each characteristic is canonicalized to produce corresponding merits for each cloud where each merit is dimensionless, bounded within a predefined interval, and oriented so that a merit increment increases an overall appraisal of a respective cloud. Consequently, a merit vector is created for each cloud. Upon receiving a service request from a client, requisite resources as well as a significance vector indicating significance of each characteristic to the requested service are determined. An appraisal of a cloud is determined as a dot product of the significance vector and the merit vector of the cloud. The cloud of highest appraisal is allocated to the service.

  • Patent number: 10568770
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for generating and releasing iodine are described. Some embodiments may include a dressing member including a plurality of iodine-forming reagents and a water-swellable material. In some embodiments, the dressing member may include water-swellable fibers. The water-swellable fibers may each include a water-swellable material in which iodine-forming reagents are dispersed. As liquid comes into contact with and is absorbed by the water-swellable material, the iodine-forming reagents may come into contact with each other, causing an iodine-forming reaction to occur, producing iodine.

  • Publication number: 20200052903
Abstract: The disclosed exemplary embodiments include computer-implemented systems, apparatuses, and processes that dynamically manage exchanges of data using a cryptographically secure distributed ledger and homomorphic commitments. For example, and in response to an occurrence of a triggering event, an apparatus may obtain parameter values that characterize the data exchange, first commitment values representative of the parameter values, and a first digital signature. In response to a verification of the first digital signature, the apparatus may apply a second digital signature to commitment data that includes the first commitment values and a second commitment value representative of the first digital signature. The apparatus may transmit a signal that includes the commitment data and the second digital signature to a computing system, which generates an element of distributed ledger that includes the commitment data and the second digital signature in response to a verification of the second digital signature.
