  • Publication number: 20230124324
Abstract: One or more bits of the destination MAC address indicate a number of times a reset event has occurred. These bits may be referred to as a generation number. The generation number in a destination MAC address is updated when a reset event occurs. In this way, frames issued by the sender prior to the reset may be distinguished from frames issued after the reset, since the destination MAC addresses in those frames will not match. In this way, the recipient device is protected from stale packets.

  • Publication number: 20230121096
Abstract: A data processing system having an address resolution function for deriving MAC addresses. The set of MACs defined for the devices on the network encode physical position or logical identifier information of those devices. Therefore, each of these MACs is derivable using a mapping function that maps the physical position or logical identifier information supplied by an application to the MAC addresses of the devices on the network. When the protocol processing entity has to send data over the network, it can obtain the MAC address for the destination determined on the basis of the physical position or logical identifier supplied by the application. In this way, since the MACs are derivable on the basis of the physical positions or logical identifiers, the broadcasting of ARP request messages, which would otherwise be required when the protocol processing entity requires the MAC for the destination, may be avoided.

  • Publication number: 20230080535
Abstract: The same test data frame is dispatched from a network interface device a plurality of times so as to test a network. Since the same test data frame is used, it may be unnecessary for a new test data frame to be provided and protocol processed each time one is required to be sent. The protocol processing resources of the network interface device are then available for sending further traffic in parallel with the dispatch of the test data frames. On the receive side, the network interface device collects statistics regarding the reliable receipt of test frames, without requiring the test frames to be further processed and provided to a driver of the network interface device. In this way, the processing and buffering capacity in the network interface device is available for handling further traffic in parallel with the test traffic.

  • Patent number: 11606206
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a data storage device comprising a data path and an access controller. The access controller generates a recovery private key, generates encrypted authorization data based on the recovery private key, stores the encrypted authorization data, and sends the recovery private key to a manager device. When recovery is desired, access controller receives a recovery public key, calculated based on the recovery private key, from a recovery manager device, decrypts the encrypted authorization data based on the recovery public key, generates a challenge for the recovery manager device based on the decrypted authorization data, sends the challenge to the recovery manager device over the communication channel that is different from the data path, receives a response to the challenge from the recovery manager device over the communication channel, and based at least partly on the response, enables decryption of the encrypted user content data.

  • Publication number: 20230047020
Abstract: An apparatus for supporting a user includes a faceplate, an arm, a bridge, and a base. The bridge is rotatably attached to the faceplate to allow the faceplate to be pivotably adjusted. The bridge includes a hub with first and second hub bodies. Locking pins on the hub bodies slidingly engage pivot adjustment holes in first and second pivot adjustment rings. First and second buttons can be depressed to slide the hub bodies inwardly to separate the locking pins from the pivot adjustment holes to allow the hub to rotate, thereby allowing the faceplate to pivot. When the buttons are released, the hub bodies slide outwardly to insert the locking pins into the same or different pivot adjustment holes to prevent the hub from rotating.

  • Publication number: 20230047708
Abstract: An apparatus for supporting a user includes a faceplate, an arm, and a base. The faceplate has an opening to receive a user's face. The arm is attached to the faceplate and the base. The base includes a base slide that is slidable within a slot of a base body. The base slide includes one or more lock pins that releasably engage one of multiple holes in a lock bar. The lock bar is mechanically coupled to a button body. When the button body is pulled distally, the lock bar moves away from the base slide such that the lock pin(s) is/are removed from the corresponding hole(s) to allow the base slide to slide within the slot. When the button body is released, the lock bar moves towards the base slide such that the lock pin(s) is/are inserted into the same or different hole(s) to lock the slide's position.

  • Publication number: 20230047568
Abstract: A PCB that constructs circuit traces, vias, and connection pads by filling recessed areas, grooves, holes, and/or counter bores with conductive material. The recessed areas are filled with conductive ink or plating solutions by a number of methods. Capillary action aids in the filling of the recessed areas. Pressure, vacuum and or gravity can aid the filling. Layers of the PCB or similar type devices can be bonded together both mechanically and electrically to accomplish 3D connections of circuits. Ground and power plane durability and conductivity is enhanced by the inclusion of small grooves over the conductive plane.

  • Patent number: 11578130
Abstract: Compositions and methods relating to regulatable chimeric antigen receptors (RCARs), where the intracellular signaling or proliferation of the RCAR can be controlled to optimize the use of an RCAR-expressing cell to provide an immune response, are provided. For example, a RCAR can comprise a dimerization switch that, upon the presence of a dimerization molecule, can couple an intracellular signaling domain to an extracellular recognition element, e.g., an antigen binding domain, an inhibitory counter ligand binding domain, or costimulatory ECD domain. An RCAR can be engineered to include an appropriate antigen binding domain that is specific to a desired antigen target and used in the treatment of a disease.

  • Patent number: 11582607
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a data storage device. A data port transmits data between a host computer system and the data storage device over a data channel. The device repeatedly broadcasts advertising packets over a wireless communication channel different from the data channel. Each advertising packet comprises a random value and a message authentication code calculated based on the random value and an identity key. The identity key is readable by a device to be connected and in proximity of the data storage device out of band of the data channel and the communication channel. The identity key enables the device to be connected to verify the message authentication code based on the random value and the identity key to thereby authenticate the data storage device.

  • Publication number: 20230045482
Abstract: A guided projectile including a projectile housing, a first sensor, and an air brake detachably coupled to the projectile housing. The air brake is deployable from a flight configuration to a braking configuration. A processor is configured to monitor, based on data received from the first sensor, a proximity of the at least one intercepting object relative to the guided projectile, wherein the guided projectile is configured to advance towards a target location on a first target trajectory. The processor is also configured to deploy the air brake to cause the guided projectile to veer from the first target trajectory to evade the at least one intercepting object, and detach the air brake from the guided projectile to enable the guided projectile to advance on a second target trajectory that is offset from the first target trajectory, wherein the first target trajectory and the second target trajectory have the same target location.
