  • Patent number: 11575963
Abstract: In one aspect, a method is performed by a computing system that is in communication with a content-presentation device, where the content-presentation device is scheduled to perform, at a modification start-time, a content-modification operation that comprises modifying a modifiable content-segment that the content-presentation device is scheduled to receive. The method includes determining that the content-presentation device has detected, within a predefined time period after the modification start-time and during performance of the content-modification operation, a mismatch between reference fingerprint data representing the modifiable content-segment and query fingerprint data representing content received by the content-presentation device from a tuner device connected to the content-presentation device.

  • Publication number: 20230013242
Abstract: A system and method of providing two-way communication between an isolated POS system and a website are described. The POS system operates as an air gap system. In response to detecting a trigger event the two-way communication is initiated for installation, diagnostic and repair services. POS information for transmission to the website through the internet is generated using a QR code that includes the website address and a data payload that depends on the desired service. The QR code is read by a smart phone and transmitted to the website. The website responds by sending response data dependent on the QR code and desired service. The response data is communicated to the POS system via another QR code for further operations by the POS system based thereon.

  • Publication number: 20220402005
Abstract: A method for treating and disposing of mercury—from mercury-contaminated waste—includes recovering high-purity mercury (e.g., greater than about 99.0 wt. % elemental Hg) from the mercury-contaminated waste. The high-purity mercury is converted to mercuric sulfide (HgS). The mercuric sulfide (HgS) is intermixed with a polymer-based material to form an encapsulated mercury material. The encapsulated mercury material is disposed within a sealed waste container. The sealed waste container is disposed of at a landfill site. Also disclosed is a mercury-including waste product that comprises pellets. The pellets comprise mercuric sulfide within a polymer material.

  • Patent number: 11533533
Abstract: In one aspect, a method includes identifying a group of multiple content-presentation devices that are tuned to the same channel and that are each scheduled to perform, at a modification start-time, a respective content-modification operation that comprises modifying a modifiable content-segment in connection with an upcoming content-modification opportunity on the channel. The method also includes determining that, after the modification start-time, at least a subgroup of the group of content-presentation devices have detected a mismatch between reference fingerprint data representing the modifiable content-segment and query fingerprint data representing content received by at least the subgroup of content-presentation devices.

  • Patent number: 11516087
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for connecting processors using twisted torus configurations. In some implementations, a cluster of processing nodes is coupled using a reconfigurable interconnect fabric. The system determines a number of processing nodes to allocate as a network within the cluster and a topology for the network. The system selects an interconnection scheme for the network, where the interconnection scheme is selected from a group that includes at least a torus interconnection scheme and a twisted torus interconnection scheme. The system allocates the determined number of processing nodes of the cluster in the determined topology, sets the reconfigurable interconnect fabric to provide the selected interconnection scheme for the processing nodes in the network, and provides access to the network for performing a computing task.

  • Publication number: 20220372746
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a sewer cleanout cap that facilitates highly accurate and quick location of a buried or concealed cleanout cap using an electronic locator device. The cleanout cap comprises a circular cap body further comprising a proximal face and a distal face. A circular external radial wall extends between the proximal face and distal face with threads thereon. Extending from the proximal face is a drive block defined laterally by a series of lateral drive flats. The drive block terminates at a proximal drive block face. A first magnet is secured along a central axis on the sewer cleanout cap. In some embodiments the first magnet is secured within a recess within the cap body or drive block. In other embodiments, the first magnet is fixed to the proximal drive block face, a first recess face, or the distal face.

  • Publication number: 20220350041
Abstract: A semiconductor device may include a plurality of single-photon avalanche diodes. The single-photon avalanche diodes may be arranged in microcells. Each microcell may be a split microcell with first and second independent microcell segments. Each microcell segment in the split microcell may have a respective single-photon avalanche diode that is coupled to an output line. The single-photon avalanche diode of each microcell segment may also be coupled to a respective resistor that is used to quench avalanches in the single-photon avalanche diode. Splitting the microcell may reduce the recovery time of each microcell. The segments of the split microcell may be positioned close together, even if susceptible to optical crosstalk. Intra-microcell isolation structures may be formed between the microcell segments. Inter-microcell isolation structures may be formed around a perimeter of the split microcell. The intra-microcell and inter-microcell isolation structures may be different.
