    Abstract: An over-current protection device includes an electrode layer and a heat-sensitive layer. The heat-sensitive layer exhibits a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) characteristic, and is laminated between a top metal layer and a bottom metal layer of the electrode layer. The heat-sensitive layer includes a polymer matrix and a conductive filler. The polymer matrix includes a first fluoropolymer and a second fluoropolymer. The first fluoropolymer has a first volume and a first melt flow index, and the second fluoropolymer has a second volume and a second melt flow index. The second melt flow index ranges from 0.4 g/10 min to 0.7 g/10 min and is lower than the first melt flow index, and a volume ratio by dividing the second volume by the first volume ranges from 0.4 to 0.6.

The electrically conductive material disposed on the outside of the nonmetallic pipe is electrically grounded. The nonmetallic pipe may comprise fluoropolymer (PFA) based tubing. In some embodiments, the nonmetallic pipe includes: a PFA-NE pipe connected with a chamber or housing containing the wafer, and a second pipe connected with the PFA-NE pipe by a pipe connector, in which the second pipe is more electrically insulating than the PFA-NE pipe.

The additive material can be dissolved in a first solvent to give an additive solution, and the polymer can be dissolved in a second solvent to give a polymer base. The additive solution can be mixed with the polymer base to give a mixed solution. Solvent casting can then be performed on the mixed solution to evaporate the solvent(s) and give the additive-polymer precursor composite material, which can have a layered structure.

The filter overlies the first and second photodetectors and includes a first distributed Bragg reflector (DBR), a second DBR, and a first interlayer between the first and second DBRs. A thickness of the first interlayer has a first thickness value overlying the first photodetector and a second thickness value overlying the second photodetector. In some embodiments, the filter is limited to a single interlayer. In other embodiments the filter further includes a second interlayer defining columnar structures embedded in the first interlayer and having a different refractive index than the first interlayer.

    Abstract: An image sensing device includes a germanium sensor within a semiconductor body and a metalens formed in the back side of the semiconductor body. The metalens is structured to focus infrared light on the germanium sensor and may have a lower profile than an equivalent microlens. Optionally, the metalens is combined with a microlens to achieve a desired focal length. The metalens, or the metalens in combination with a microlens, overcomes a manufacturing process limitation on the focal length of the microlens, which in turn eliminates the need for, or reduces the thickness of, a spacer between the microlens and the germanium sensor. Eliminating the spacer or reducing its thickness improves the angular response of the image sensing device.
