  • Patent number: 7196012
Abstract: A method and system for improving planarization and uniformity of dielectric layers for providing improved optical efficiency in CCD and CMOS image sensor devices. In various embodiments, a dielectric planarization method for achieving better optical efficiency includes first depositing a first dielectric having an optically transparent property on and around a metal pattern. Optical sensors are formed in or on the substrate in areas between metal features. The metal pattern protects a sensor situated therebetween and thereunder from electromagnetic radiation. After the first dielectric layer is polished using CMP, a slanted or inclined surface is produced but this non-uniformity is eliminated using further planarization processes that produce a uniform total dielectric thickness for the proper functioning of the sensor.

  • Patent number: 6988738
Abstract: A combination unit of a golf cart and a golf bag, wherein the golf bag is provided fixedly on an inner housing of the golf bag with a frame, the inner housing has a bottom portion which has two receiving spaces on lateral side, the inner housing has a groove on the abdomen. The golf cart has a central receiving seat to carry struts for two wheels and a stretchable and contractible hand pull-bar. The central receiving seat is embedded in the groove and has an upper and a lower positioning hole, so that the hand pull-bar can be positioned in the upper or the lower positioning hole in its stretching and contracting stroke. The wheels are provided on the bottom end of the golf cart and are collapsible for storing respectively in the two receiving spaces of the bottom portion. The diameters of the wheels are larger than the heights of the receiving spaces. The whole structure can be towed be rolling of the wheels both in collapsing and stretching states, for easy operation and convenient carrying and storing.

  • Publication number: 20050245715
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing a precursor solution for polyimide/silica composite material and a process for forming a polyimide/silica composite material film on a substrate, comprising adding a monomer of a silane compound to allow a poly(amic acid) to carry a silica moiety; adding a monomer of formula (R6)xSi(R7)(4-x) to allow the silica moiety to carry a photo-polymerizable unsaturated group; and adding a monomer of formula R8N(R9)2 to allow the poly(amic acid) to carry a photo-polymerizable unsaturated group, where R6, R7, R8, R9, and x are as defined in the specification. The present invention also relates to a precursor solution for polyimide/silica composite material and a polyimide/silica composite material. The composite material of the present invention is useful in microelectronic devices, semiconductor elements, and photoelectric elements.

  • Patent number: 6859828
Abstract: A system for analyzing a bi-directional communication path connecting a headend station to a remote station. The communication path is used for sending and receiving messages. Messages in a forward direction are sent by modulating a carrier at a forward frequency, and messages sent in a return direction are sent by modulating a carrier at a return frequency. The system includes a headend unit which sends a sign-on message in the forward direction from the headend station. The headend unit monitors the return frequency for a response message and measures a power level for signals received at the return frequency during the monitoring operation. The headend unit sends an error message in the forward direction if no response message is received on the return frequency, and the power level is greater than a threshold value. If an error message is sent, the power spectrum in a frequency range including the return frequency is measured and sent as part of the error message.
