  • Patent number: 8972912
Abstract: One embodiment relates to a method of achieving an circuit dimension which is greater than a size of an exposure field of an illumination tool. A first area of a first reticle field and a second area of a second reticle field are defined. An extension zone is created as a region outside the first area, and includes a first layout shape formed on a first design level. A corresponding forbidden zone is created for the second reticle field as a region inside the second area where no layout shape on the first design level is permitted. A second layout shape is formed on a second design level within the forbidden zone. The first and second areas are then abutted. Upon abutment of the first and second areas, the second layout shape overlaps the first layout shape to form a connection between circuitry of the first and second reticle fields.

  • Patent number: 8972909
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method of performing an optical proximity correction (OPC) procedure that provides for a high degree of freedom by using an approximation design layer. In some embodiments, the method is performed by forming an integrated chip (IC) design having an original design layer with one or more original design shapes. An approximation design layer, which is different from the original design layer, is generated from the original design layer. The approximation design layer is a design layer that has been adjusted to remove features that may cause optical proximity correction (OPC) problems. An optical proximity correction (OPC) procedure is then performed on the approximation design layer. By performing the OPC procedure on the approximation design layer rather than on the original design layer, characteristics of the OPC procedure can be improved.

  • Publication number: 20140349808
Abstract: In a hybrid transportation apparatus, a gas supply provides high-pressure hydrogen, which drives a turbine to generate first mechanical power and becomes medium-pressure hydrogen, which drives an air engine to generate second mechanical power and becomes low-pressure hydrogen. A fuel cell generates first electric power according to the low-pressure hydrogen. A heat recycling module recycles heat, which is generated by the fuel cell, to warm up the high-pressure hydrogen or the medium-pressure hydrogen. A generator receives the first mechanical power and generates second electric power. A motor generates third mechanical power according to the first and second electric power. A power output device causes movement of the transportation apparatus according to the second and third mechanical power. Thus, potential energy and chemical energy of the high-pressure hydrogen can be effectively utilized to generate the mechanical power and the electric power to move the transportation apparatus.

  • Patent number: 8749670
Abstract: A digital camera and an image sensor readout method with black level calibration are disclosed. In a readout circuit of the digital camera, a black reference for black level calibration and an analog-to-digital conversion reference voltage for analog-to-digital conversion are generated from reference voltages provided by one voltage ladder. Device-to-device variations of sensor characteristics are considered when selecting the reference voltage for generating the black reference, and, a gain between the selected reference voltage and the black reference varies with a gain of a programmable gain amplifier coupled after a compensator. The compensator subtracts the black reference from a sensed signal that the readout circuit receives from an image sensor of the digital camera.
