  • Publication number: 20160019744
Abstract: Methods and computer programs for providing animation to online roulette game during game play include providing data for enabling an interface on a device used for playing the online roulette game. The interface renders a grid identifying bet entries and a roulette wheel on which a ball is provided to determine outcome of the roulette game. A number on the grid on which a bet has been placed, is identified. A number is randomly generated to determine outcome of the roulette game. The number corresponds with a specific one of the plurality of slots defined in the roulette wheel in which the ball is to land. Graphical animation is provided at the roulette wheel to provide visual indication of the outcome of the roulette game as the ball is caused to move around the roulette wheel toward the specific slot in the roulette wheel corresponding to the generated number.

  • Publication number: 20160019743
Abstract: A method for facilitating placement of wagers in an online game during game play includes displaying a first view of a wagering grid for an online game, with the wagering grid having lines. The method further includes receiving an input that is a gesture representing placement of a wager by a user on the wagering grid, and displaying a second view of the wagering grid that is a pop-up view. The second view, which can be a zoomed view or a magnified view, excludes any other placed wagers to facilitate placement of the wager by the user with respect to the lines of the wagering grid. Once the user has placed the wager, the method includes displaying an updated version of the first view that includes the wager placed by the user. In one example, the online game is a roulette game.

  • Publication number: 20160003250
Abstract: A blower housing including a first and second rotor assembly such that the first rotor assembly includes a first rotor and a first shaft and the second rotor assembly includes a second rotor and a second shaft. The first and second rotors each have a plurality of lobes. Each first and second rotor includes an axial sealing extension that can be constructed to extend axially into the shaft opening. The axial sealing extension can include a radially outwardly facing sealing surface that opposes a radially inwardly facing sealing surface defined within the shaft opening. The radially outwardly facing sealing surface and the radially inwardly facing sealing surface can be configured to cooperate to form a radial sealing interface that extends around an axis. The radial sealing interface can include a radial seal clearance defined between the radially outwardly facing sealing surface and the radially inwardly facing sealing surface.

  • Publication number: 20160003734
Abstract: Incoherent millimetre wave, sub-millimetre wave and terahertz test signals are used to probe metal substrates that are covered by a protective coating or outer layer, such as paint or thermal insulation, obscuring direct assessment of the substrate. The incoherent test signals, which may be from a naturally occurring passive source (such as the sky) and/or from an active noise source, provide signal dispersion and angular variation of the test signals with respect to angular incidence to the substrate. Illumination of the substrate permits differentiation between un-corroded and corroded sections of the sample because reflectivity (and emissivity) from a metal-based substrate is heavily dependent on the surface resistivity which in turn is dependent on the corroded state.

  • Patent number: 9228472
Abstract: A method, comprising during a vehicle engine cold start, opening a first valve coupled between a first container containing an adsorbent and a second container containing an adsorbate, circulating a first fluid through a first conduit coupled to a first heat exchanger located within the first container and a second heat exchanger located outside the first container, and circulating a second fluid through a second conduit coupled to the second heat exchanger. In this way, heat may be generated at the adsorber during a cold start and subsequently transferred to the cooling jacket of the vehicle engine and/or other vehicle compartments, thereby decreasing the warm-up time for the engine.

  • Publication number: 20150345910
Abstract: An armour vest includes front and rear portions that realize or otherwise mount armour plate or soft armour pads over a wearer's vital organs. A floatation bladder is stored and deployed under the protection of the armour. The armour vest is expandable to accommodate and at least partially protect the floatation bladder when it is inflated. In either a single or multi-stage process, the armour vest's volume is increased by automatically releasing buckles that increase separation between the front and rear portions around the waist and, in an embodiment, also at the shoulders of the armour vest. In a deflated state, shoulder connectors provide a load-bearing connection between the front and rear portions of the armour vest. Inflation of the bladder, either manually actuated by pulling a webbing trigger handle or automatically with immersion, causes a different load-bearing shoulder bridge to be brought into operation at the shoulders of the amour vest.

  • Patent number: 9133836
Abstract: A vacuum pumping system comprises a primary foreline for receiving a gas stream from an outlet of a chamber, a first vacuum pump for evacuating the chamber, a second vacuum pump for evacuating the chamber, a first secondary foreline for conveying gas from the primary foreline to the first vacuum pump, a second secondary foreline for conveying gas from the primary foreline to the second vacuum pump, and valve means for selectively connecting a chosen one of the first and second secondary forelines to the primary foreline. The condition of the vacuum pumps is monitored during use. When both vacuum pumps are operating normally, the valve means is controlled to divert a first reactant-rich gas from the primary foreline into the first secondary foreline, and to divert a second reactant-rich gas from the primary foreline to the second secondary foreline, thereby inhibiting mixing of the first and second reactants within the vacuum pumps.

  • Publication number: 20150256099
Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming a direct current power supply. An apparatus comprises a transformer and a rectifier. The transformer is figured to output a plurality of phase-shifted alternating currents in response to receiving a plurality of alternating currents. The plurality of alternating currents and the plurality of phase-shifted alternating currents form a plurality of input alternating currents that are offset relative to each other by one-twelfth of a cycle in phase. The rectifier is configured to form a direct current power supply having a common mode voltage reduced to zero within selected tolerances in response to receiving the plurality of input alternating currents.

  • Publication number: 20150158196
Abstract: A method of forming non-linear slots in pipe and the resulting slotted pipes are disclosed. The non-linear slots can be created using fluid jet, plasma, laser or any cutting method capable of producing a non-linear slot through the wall of a pipe. One embodiment includes interruptions in the slots to form ribs or structural connections between the pipe material along either side of a slot. The non-linear slots can be arranged in longitudinal, latitudinal, or in a helical orientation around the axis of the liner in straight, staggered, or ganged patterns. The slots can be formed in any non-linear shape, pattern, or slot thickness. One method employs high pressure fluid jet cutting from within the pipe, resulting in slots having a smaller width at the outside surface of the pipe.
