  • Publication number: 20110299012
Abstract: A flexible light guide film having a light-adjusting structure in the form of a lenticular-like microstructure on the bottom side of the light guide film. The light guide film has a substrate layer supporting a layer light-adjusting structure, which is in the form of an array of longitudinal lenticular lenses laterally arranged in parallel. A prismatic-like microstructure may be provided on the top light emitting side of the light guide film. The light guide film is fabricated by a process involving coating/embossing of a roll of sheet material, in a roll-to-roll continuous process. Advantages includes significantly reducing the thickness of the light guide film, and the roll-to-roll fabrication process provides for more precise replication of the microstructures on the master mold or drum onto the surface of the light guide film, which in turn reduces the failure rate and manufacturing cost.

  • Publication number: 20110217687
Abstract: An examination system and an examination method are disclosed. The examination method includes: generating a first test data by a host device, in which the first test data has a plurality of questions; rearranging the questions of the first test data in order to generate a second test data; and sending the second test data to a corresponding examination device for taking the examination. An anti-cheating module is provided for detecting distances between the examination devices or detecting a deviation angle of a character image of the examinee. When the distance is less than a predetermined value or the deviation angle is greater than a predetermined value, an anti-cheating signal is then generated for avoiding cheating actions.

  • Patent number: 7988708
Abstract: An interspinous process distraction device includes a male distraction element and a female distraction element, which both have a clamping portion for fixedly pushing and rejecting the interspinous processes and also respectively have a first connecting portion and a second connecting portion connected at the other end of the clamping portion. Here, the first connecting portion and the second connecting portion are paired for blocking with each other so as to form the interspinous process distraction device capable of having an opposite rotation. Besides, through clamping two interspinous processes which stress the nerve by the male distraction element and the female distraction element and rotating them to oppositely rotate, the two interspinous processes can therefore be moved to be in alignment as the normal condition.

  • Patent number: 7990620
Abstract: A head-up display system is described. The head-up display system includes an image projection device, a diffusion unit, and a frame demonstration medium. The image projection device emits the visible light, containing text or image information, for generating a real image on the diffusion unit. The frame demonstration medium receives the visible light reflected from the diffusion unit. By adjusting the received visible light reflected from the diffusion unit, the frame demonstration medium generates a virtual image corresponding to the real image. The distance between the real image corresponding to the diffusion unit and the frame demonstration medium is preferably equal to the distance between the virtual image and the frame demonstration medium. Alternatively, the visible light is projected to the frame demonstration medium and then reflected to the diffusion unit.

  • Patent number: 7971790
Abstract: A laser pointer includes a human-machine interface disposed above the housing for users to control components inside the housing to decide patterns and size of the projecting image. The components consist of a frequency/phase control module, a driving energy control module, a laser beam generating module and a light scanning device. The frequency/phase control module controls the driving energy control module while the driving energy control module controls driving energy of the light scanning device. The size of the image is controlled by change of the amplitude of the light scanning device while the amplitude is changed along with the driving energy. The amplitude may also change along with the driving frequency. When the driving energy is fixed and the driving frequency is close to the resonant frequency, the amplitude increases. On the contrary, the amplitude decreases.
