  • Publication number: 20220153419
Abstract: A storage compartment arrangement for a cabin of a vehicle has a storage compartment, housing, storage compartment opening, lower compartment, and upper compartment. The compartments are directly above each other and separated by an intermediate base pivotable at least in sections into the upper compartment. Items of luggage can be placed onto a lower horizontal pivoting edge and pushed into the lower compartment. Adjacent to a lower delimitation of the upper compartment, when the intermediate base is not pivoted, an upper horizontal pivoting edge is formed, onto which items of luggage can be placed and pushed into the upper compartment. The upper compartment has an upper opening edge adjoined by an auxiliary surface extending over the upper compartment, is at an angle in a range of 10° to 50° to the intermediate base and, as the distance from the upper delimitation increases, encloses an increasing distance from the intermediate base.

  • Publication number: 20220088669
Abstract: A die (1) for mounting in an associated die holder (20) for the production of heads on elongate bodies such as nails or screws. The die has a body (2) with a top surface (3) provided with a through-going groove (4) for receiving and holding an elongate body longitudinally in said groove. Furthermore, the die has a recess (5) on one side merging into the groove (4) at one end of the groove (4) suitable for forming the head of a nail or screw. The die has a side surface portion, e.g. conical, shaped for press fit by contact with a corresponding inner surface portion of a bore or hole (30) in the associated die holder. Further, a second side surface portion (9), e.g. a plane portion, of the die serves to engage with a corresponding inner surface portion of the bore or hole of the die holder. Hereby, it is ensured, that angular orientation of the groove (4) is fixed relative to the die holder (20), and it has been proven that the two different side surface portions of the die, e.g.

  • Publication number: 20220022809
Abstract: A sleep monitor device for monitoring breathing and other physiological parameters is used to classify, assess, diagnose, and/or treat sleeping disorders (e.g., obstructive sleep apnea and upper airway obstruction, among others). The sleep monitor device can be a wearable device that contains one or more microphones arranged around the subject's neck when worn. Additionally, the wearable device may also include, or otherwise be in communication with, other sensors and/or measurement components, such as optical sources and electrodes. Using the sleep monitor device it is possible to identify upper airway resistances, the site of the obstruction, to monitor tissue resistance, temperature, and oxygen saturation. Early detection of the development of upper airway resistances during sleep can be used to control supportive measures for sleep apnea, such controlling continuous positive airway pressure (“CPAP”) devices or neurological or mechanical stimulators.

  • Publication number: 20210339011
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of selecting stimulations for a cochlear implant or an auditory implant. The method may include: capturing an acoustical signal; dividing the acoustical signal into a plurality of frequency bands; determining a mean acoustical energy for each frequency band; for each frequency band: comparing the mean acoustical energy with the mean acoustical energy determined for neighboring frequency bands; merging neighboring frequency bands having a difference between the mean acoustical energies that is less than an acoustical energy threshold value; selecting one or more types of stimulation to be applied to one or more locations in a cochlea or along an auditory nerve based on bandwidths of each frequency band. The one or more types of stimulation may be selected from: electrical stimulation, optical stimulation and opto-electrical stimulation, and the one or more locations in cochlea or along the auditory nerve may correspond to specific frequencies of the acoustical signal.

  • Patent number: 11104441
Abstract: A fastening system for passenger seats in a vehicle cabin has two or more guide rails to be integrated into or onto a cabin floor, and a plurality of slides, to be brought into engagement with the guide rails and having a flange for connection to a passenger seat to retain the passenger seat on a guide rail. Each guide rail has a profile cross section, perpendicularly to a main axis of extent (x), having a base region, a supporting region and an undercut situated therebetween. Each slide has a cavity, of complementary design with the profile cross section, and a necked region, to be brought into engagement with the undercut, thus enabling the supporting region to be enclosed by the cavity of the slide. Each slide has a rotatably mounted roller projecting into the necked region and can be brought into surface contact with a guide rail surface.
