  • Patent number: 11601781
Abstract: A system and method to verify that the driver or operator of a vehicle or piece of equipment has completed a 360-degree walk-around inspection of the vehicle/equipment. The vehicle/equipment will be equipped with an electronic beacon that detects the direction of the driver/operator via a mobile electronic device that the driver/operator carries. As the operator walks around the vehicle/equipment, the electronic beacon installed on the vehicle/equipment recognizes the location of the mobile electronic device as the driver/operator walks around the vehicle/equipment performing their inspection. In certain embodiments, the electronic beacon and mobile electronic device determine the operator's inspection are Angle of Arrival and Angle of Departure relative to each electronic beacon. The determination may require different combinations of transmitters and receivers.

  • Patent number: 11585079
Abstract: A method to enhance the ability of a stormwater containment volume to flow and flush solids and liquids. Implemented by depositing rock into shaped piles formed at the rock's angle of repose, the resultant inclined surfaces are covered with suitable waterproof material and covered with more rock up to the top surface. Stormwater flushes solids deposited on the surface downward into the volume where they contact the inclined surfaces. Water and solids flow down the inclined surfaces at increased velocity toward collection drainpipes at their base. Because sediment flows into drainpipes, it does not flow to the bottom of the volume or become stagnant or reduce the volume's capacity. This creates a low-cost stormwater containment system that can support vehicle travel on its surface, requires no concrete or sewers, is self-cleaning, accessible for cleaning, or both, and does not require human access to the bottom surface for maintenance.

  • Patent number: 11550258
Abstract: A replaceable unit includes a rotatable gear positioned on a housing of the replaceable unit and an encoded member encoded with identifying information of the replaceable unit. The encoded member is positioned on an axially outboard face of the gear such that the encoded member is rotatable with the gear for communicating the identifying information of the replaceable unit to a sensor of an image forming device when the replaceable unit is installed in the image forming device. The encoded member is configured to move axially outward relative to a rotational axis of the gear upon rotation of the gear in a first rotational direction for communicating the identifying information of the replaceable unit to the sensor. The encoded member is configured to move axially inward relative to the rotational axis of the gear upon rotation of the gear in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction.

  • Patent number: 11550259
Abstract: A system includes a drive gear and a sensor mounted in an image forming device and a replaceable unit removably installable in the image forming device. The replaceable unit includes a gear for receiving rotational force from the drive gear. The system includes an encoded member encoded with identifying information of the replaceable unit and operatively connected to the gear such that rotation of the gear causes movement of the encoded member for communicating the identifying information of the replaceable unit to the sensor. The encoded member is configured to move toward the sensor upon rotation of the gear of the replaceable unit in a first rotational direction for communicating the identifying information of the replaceable unit to the sensor. The encoded member is configured to move away from the sensor upon rotation of the gear of the replaceable unit in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction.

  • Patent number: 11509730
Abstract: Techniques are described for generating a specification of security-relevant behavior associated with web services of a cloud provider network. Source code or software development artifacts associated with an implementation of a web service is obtained, where the source code of software development artifacts include an implementation of a request handler for an action of the service. The request handler includes a request authorization component, e.g., which may involve interaction with an identity and access management service of the cloud provider network to authenticate and authorize requests and may further rely upon one or more authorization contexts included in the requests received by the request handler. An interprocedural data flow analyzer is used to analyze a model representation of the bytecode to identify and generate specifications of authorization patterns associated with the request handler.

  • Publication number: 20220356906
Abstract: A device for damping a rolling bearing includes a support and a radially flexible cage. The cage includes a ring provided in order to be mounted on the periphery of a rolling bearing. The radial flexibility of this cage results from the structure thereof which is perforated by oblique posts connecting the ring to an attachment annulus of this cage. The support includes a plurality of teeth each extending radially through a respective inter-post opening of the cage. The ring and the support form, radially between one another, a fluid damping cavity suitable for forming a compressed fluid film. The device allows a controlled radial movement of the ring, the latter being radially limited by the support, while having a limited footprint.
