  • Patent number: 9051858
Abstract: An engine system includes an electronically controlled compression ignition engine configured to burn diesel fuel to produce an exhaust with a temperature and NOx to soot ratio. An aftertreatment system is fluidly connected to the engine and includes a diesel oxidation catalyst, a reductant supply, and a diesel particulate filter coated with a NOx reduction catalyst but not the diesel oxidation catalyst. A soot load density in the diesel particulate filter is stabilized by oxidizing soot at about a same rate as the compression ignition engine is supplying soot to the aftertreatment system without active regeneration. • Publication number: 20150122923
Abstract: A rotating tapering cone or tube is used for separating liquid from trash. The cone or tube is constructed of either a wire mesh or parallel slats. The cone or tube is located in a complete trash disposal system. At the front of the system there is a trash intake funnel which delivers the trash to a device for shredding the trash which will deliver the shredded trash to the tapered cone including a high speed air stream. The tube is rotated at a high rate of speed whereby any fluid in the shredded trash will be expelled through the surface of the tube by way of a centrifugal and an intensive air speed.

  • Publication number: 20150124971
Abstract: The automated switching of broadcast sources of an audio content stream based on the geographic location of the physical unit that is receiving the audio content stream. For instance, while rendering a particular audio content stream from a first broadcasting source, a system may have an identity of one or more alternative possible broadcasting sources available for the same audio content stream for that relative geographic location. In response to some decision making, the system may decide to switch broadest sources for that audio content stream. Thus, the user continues to listen to the audio content stream without being subject to possible negative consequences of continuing to listen to the audio content stream as received from the original broadcast station. Data transmitted by the broadcast stations themselves need not be relied upon. Thus, the automated switching is accomplished even outside of regions in which broadcast stations transmit such data.

  • Publication number: 20150117463
Abstract: A communication bridge includes interfaces to interact with first and second communication networks and drivers to operate the first and second interfaces. A first internal memory of the communication bridge contains addresses of devices using the first communication network and a second internal memory contains addresses of devices using the second communication network. First and second master application processors in the communication bridge and are in operable communication with respective interfaces and internal memories. The first master application processor associates an address of a message received from a device on the first communication network with the address of a device on the second communication network to enable transmission of the message thereto. The second master application processor associates an address of a message received from a device on the second communication network with the address of a device on the first communication network to enable transmission of the message thereto.

  • Publication number: 20150102665
Abstract: A vehicle switch module includes a sub-network having switches connected thereto and a sub-network controller in operative communication with the sub-network and the switches. Each switch includes a microprocessor programmed to generate switch messages that include address and switch logic state data. The sub-network controller transmits switch queries onto the sub-network to a number of switch addresses to determine a connection status and switch state of switches in the switch module and receives switch messages responsive to the queries from switches at addresses to which the switch queries were transmitted. The received switch messages verify the identity of a switch in the module and provide a switch state for the switch. The sub-network controller interprets the received switch messages and—based on the switch address and switch state data in the messages—controls operation of a vehicle output or load associated with each of the switches.
