  • Patent number: 12385270
Abstract: A connected heating system is provided. The system includes a heater having a first inflow port and a first outflow port, a controller that monitors one or more conditions relating to the heater, and a heater bypass coupled between the first inflow port and the first outflow port. The system also includes a valve that controls flow of water received from a pool into the first inflow port and the heater bypass based on operating state identified by the controller. In operation, responsive to the controller identifying the operating state, the controller is configured to transmit control signals that direct actuation of the valve to achieve the operating state. Additionally, the heater is configured to heat portions of the water from the pool that flow between the first inflow port and the first outflow port when a heating mode is active.

  • Patent number: 12388465
Abstract: A method for determining a bit-error rate in data received on high-speed data channel that uses a forward-error-correcting decoder includes receiving at receiver circuitry on the high-speed data channel a received predetermined data pattern, comparing, bit-wise, the received predetermined data pattern to a locally generated copy of the predetermined data pattern to derive output bits representing whether there was an error in a corresponding bit of the received predetermined data pattern, to determine error bits in the received predetermined data pattern, grouping output bits from the comparing into symbols and codewords, and for each codeword for which a count of symbols containing errors exceeds a number of symbols correctable by the forward-error-correcting decoder, counting a total number of bit errors contained in the symbols containing errors, for use in adjusting the receiver circuitry in response to the total number of bit errors.

  • Patent number: 12387503
Abstract: A method for improving 3D object detection via object-level augmentations is described. The method includes recognizing, using an image recognition model of a differentiable data generation pipeline, an object in an image of a scene. The method also includes generating, using a 3D reconstruction model, a 3D reconstruction of the scene from the image including the recognized object. The method further includes manipulating, using an object level augmentation model, a random property of the object by a random magnitude at an object level to determine a set of properties and a set of magnitudes of an object manipulation that maximizes a loss function of the image recognition model. The method also includes training a downstream task network based on a set of training data generated based on the set of properties and the set of magnitudes of the object manipulation, such that the loss function is minimized.

  • Patent number: 12385660
Abstract: A physics model of a building is linearized around an operating point. Measurements received from sensors define a system state of the HVAC system. The linearized physics model is used as an equality constraint for a model predictive controller that determines a next control input to the HVAC system based on the system state by solving an optimization problem for a time horizon of size N. A constraint matrix H of the equality constraint is decomposed into factors of U and V matrices such that UUT and VT V are both diagonal matrices. An objective function of the model predictive controller is optimized by iteratively solving a linear system of equations that includes inverses of UUT and VT V to determining a sequence of inputs for a horizon of the model predictive controller. A first input of the sequence of inputs to is used to control the HVAC system.

  • Patent number: 12386496
Abstract: Techniques related to data collaboration between different entities are disclosed. In an embodiment, a graph may be displayed in a computer graphical user interface. The graph may include nodes and edges. Each node may represent a distinct data object. Each edge may represent one or more relationships between the two distinct data objects. Based on one or more redaction criteria, a portion of the graph may be identified to be redacted before the graph is exported. Display of the graph in the computer graphical user interface may be updated to remove display of the portion of the graph. After the updating, a request to export the graph may be received. Responsive to receiving the request, a machine-readable representation of a redacted graph may be exported.

  • Patent number: 12385394
Abstract: A method for hydrocarbon production from a carbonate formation includes receiving a carbonate texture description of a drill cutting. A pre-defined grain fraction is assigned to the drill cutting based on the texture description. The pre-defined grain fraction is one of a set of pre-defined grain fractions and each pre-defined grain fraction of the set of pre-defined grain fractions corresponds to a respective one the set of carbonate texture descriptions. Based on the pre-defined grain fraction assigned to the drill cutting and a depth of the wellbore from which the drill cutting is taken, an estimated porosity of the drill cutting is determined using an algebraic equation, coefficients for which are determined by regression analysis using reference rock samples that have been assigned pre-defined grain fractions from the same set of pre-defined grain fractions.

  • Patent number: 12387230
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus are described herein for determining a location from anonymous data. For example, a computing device may receive anonymous data associated with a browser session initialized by a user via a browser on a user computing device. The computing device may determine that the user has not been assigned a unique identifier. The computing device may determine whether the user opted-in to location tracking. If the user opted-out of location tracking, the computing device may determine a latitude coordinate and a longitude coordinate of the user computing device during the browser session. The computing device may identify a physical address for the user based on the latitude coordinate and the longitude coordinate, for example, using a map application programming interface (API). The computing device may assign the unique identifier to the user. The computing device may associate the unique identifier to the physical address.

  • Patent number: 12386864
Abstract: An approach is disclosed herein that retrieves data from a data set that includes first column data comprising a first data type and a second data type. The approach structures the first column data into second column data and third column data based on the first data type and the second data type. The approach determines a first semantic category and a second semantic category for the first data type and the second data type, and then determines a first privacy category and a second privacy category based on the first semantic category and the second semantic category. The approach anonymizes the second column data and the third column data to produce anonymized data based on the first privacy category and the second privacy category, respectively. In turn, the approach generates an anonymized view of the data set using the anonymized data.

  • Patent number: 12387812
Abstract: A memory system that splits a data width (W) into N separate memories each of narrower width W/N is described. To protect a write enable (WE) signal, the WE signal is toggled and then stored in each of the N memories. A fault on the WE signal to any of the N memories results in its stored write detection bit being different from the write detection bits stored in the other N memories. This condition can then be detected upon any subsequent read by checking whether the write detection bits are equal. The memory system can also protect the address and control signals by generating parity bits that are stored in the N memories.
