  • Patent number: 12292774
Abstract: Streaming content using a data streaming device having limited power is described. A data streaming device receives streaming content from a network and provides the streaming content for display on a content display device. Data streaming device includes power supplies that receive power from the content display device. The power supplies use the power to operate components of data streaming device that process the streaming content. A measuring module measures the power provided to the data streaming device. When the power is insufficient, a controller generates an indication that there is insufficient power to operate the components of the data streaming device. The controller may also modify functionality of the components to operate using available power or disable a component of the data streaming device.

  • Patent number: 12292881
Abstract: Distributed execution of transactions may be performed across shards of a scalable database table. Instructions to perform as part of a transaction with respect to one or more database tables may be received. The instructions may be evaluated with respect to metadata obtained for the database tables to determine an assignment distribution of computing resources of the database system to data that can satisfy the access request. The commit protocol for the transaction may be determined according to the assignment distribution of the computing resources. After a request to commit the transaction is received, the transaction may be committed according to the determined commit protocol.

  • Patent number: 12291664
Abstract: A surfactant composition in aqueous phase includes 0.5% to 15% by weight of an alkoxylated block copolymer and 0.5% to 15% by weight of an alcohol ethoxylate. The non-ionic alkyl ethoxylate is a fast wetting agent. The block copolymer, which is characterized by a longer wetting time than the non-ionic alkyl ethoxylate, disrupts the emulsion and allows the now-coated sulfur particles to escape the existing emulsion. The composition may also include an alkyl alcohol and/or glycol ether. The alkyl alcohol augments the emulsion-breaking capabilities of the diblock copolymer by providing additional surface tension reduction to the system, as well as emulsion inhibition at the aqueous-gaseous interface. The glycol ether acts as a mutual solvent, which also augments the emulsion breaking capabilities of the diblock copolymer by providing additional surface tension reduction to the system, as well as emulsion inhibition at the aqueous-gaseous interface.

  • Patent number: 12293309
Abstract: A method and system for managing and automating the classification of non-purchase order invoices for organizations. A centralized server applies rules to properly apply general ledger account coding for invoices based on data contained in the invoice. The server then electronically routes the invoice for approval to the appropriate approvers in the organization. In the absence of rules, the system applies machine learning to learn the correct rules, to be applied the next time said invoice is received and processed.

  • Patent number: 12293926
Abstract: An inorganic substrate with an improved via shape and methods for facilitating formation of such improved via shape are disclosed. A double-sided opening process may be applied to an inorganic substrate to form openings at the ends of a damage track previously formed in the inorganic substrate. One side of the inorganic substrate may then be sealed, such as by being temporarily bonded to a carrier or blocking substrate, so that a single-sided opening process may be applied to the other unsealed or unblocked surface of the inorganic substrate. The single-sided opening process may enlarge at least one of the openings formed by the double-sided opening process and may enlarge a channel between the openings to form a via having an advantageous shape.

  • Patent number: 12292516
Abstract: A global navigation satellite system (GNSS) spoofing detection and classification technique is provided. An optimization problem is formulated at the baseband correlator domain by using an optimization algorithm such as the Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO) algorithm, for example. A model of correlator tap outputs of the intended received signal is created to form a dictionary of pre-computed waveform functions (e.g., triangle-like-shaped functions). Sparse signal processing can be leveraged to choose a decomposition of pre-computed waveform functions from the dictionary. The optimal solution of this minimization problem can discriminate the presence of a potential spoofing attack peak by observing the decomposition of two different code-phase values (authentic and spoofed) in a sparse vector output. A threshold can be used to mitigate false alarms. Furthermore, a variation of the minimization problem can be provided that enhances the dictionary to a higher resolution.

  • Patent number: 12292402
Abstract: A method of monitoring a concentration of sanitizer in a solution includes providing a device that includes a plurality of sensors. The method continues by executing, via the device, a calibration stage that includes placing the device in sanitizer-free water, wherein the device: determines a temperature of the water; conducts a water analysis; and measures, via at least one sensor, a baseline resistance of the water. Sanitizing compounds are added to the water; and the device executes an operational stage, wherein the device: determines a resistance of the water with the sanitizing compounds; calculates a concentration of the sanitizing compounds in the water, wherein the concentration is based on the temperature of the water, the water analysis, and the baseline resistance; compares the calculated concentration to a predetermined threshold concentration; and activates an indication module of the device based on the comparison of the calculated concentration to the predetermined concentration.

  • Patent number: 12295036
Abstract: Currently, if a wireless device transmits a message but it is not received properly, the device is required to wait a variable time before retransmitting the message, and that waiting time is increased after each unsuccessful attempt. This is to reduce network congestion at high traffic rates, but it also puts certain users at an unfair disadvantage. For example, a user that has tried repeatedly to communicate is forced to wait longer and longer intervals, while another user is permitted to communicate without delay on the same channel. Clearly, this is an unfair situation. Therefore, disclosed herein is an alternate protocol in which users are given increasing priority after each failed attempt, specifically by reducing the fixed waiting time and/or a random backoff delay, before the next attempt. Simulations show that this change substantially eliminates the unfairness.
