  • Publication number: 20160055200
Abstract: A system and method for data deduplication includes a first computer device that determines duplicacy of a data item. If the data item is not a duplicate, the first computer device transmits a request to add an entry for the data item in a deduplication table of a deduplication database. The database adds the entry for the data item while enforcing uniqueness of data across one or more data fields of the deduplication table, where, in enforcing the uniqueness, the database denies an attempt by the second device to add an entry in the deduplication table for the same data item.

  • Publication number: 20160019474
Abstract: Listings and reviews of listings can be processed to identify descriptive attributes for locations associated with the listings. To do this, a corpus of words is generated for various locations based on listings in the locations and reviews of those listings. An expected frequency, and per-location frequency for each word is determined. These numbers are in turn used to determine a number of high frequency listing locations, and a number of below expected frequency listing locations for each word. Based on a comparison of the number of high frequency listing locations and the number of below expected frequency listing locations of a word with an attribute reference number, the word can be identified either as an attribute that is likely descriptive of the location, or not.

  • Publication number: 20150367049
Abstract: An implantable blood pump includes motor control circuitry and power electronics circuitry integrated within the implantable pump body. The motor control circuitry and power electronics circuitry is configured to energize and control motor windings to rotate the pump rotor and impeller. Additional control circuitry and power electronics circuitry may be integrated within the pump housing to energize and control magnetic bearings of a magnetic levitation pump. A percutaneous cable coupled between the implantable blood pump and an extracorporeal monitor includes a reduced number of leads to provide power and control signals to the implantable blood pump. Wireless communication between the extracorporeal monitor and the integrated power electronics and control circuitry facilitates the use of a percutaneous cable with as few as two leads for providing power to the implantable pump.

  • Publication number: 20150361987
Abstract: An impeller and rotor structure for a magnetically levitated pump define a smooth primary flow path and U-shaped secondary flow path, which extends around an annular magnetic rotor. The u-shaped secondary flow path is defined by a large outer side gap along an outer surface of the rotor, a large bottom gap along a bottom surface of the rotor and a large inner gap along an inner surface of the rotor. Shroudless impeller blades are purely radial and overhung from a thin peripheral ring attached to the annular magnetic rotor. A center post having a low aspect ratio extends through the annular rotor. The low aspect ratio is configured to prevent flow in the primary flow path from colliding directly with flow in the secondary flow path at the inner radial gap.

  • Publication number: 20110305554
Abstract: A vaneless compressor containment design has an inner bolt circle with more than three fasteners situated in the vaneless space to cut up tri-hub pieces to smaller pieces prior to reaching an outer bolt circle and its associated flange. This containment design may allow a thinner radial wall thickness for the outermost flange as compared to the conventional design. The thinner radial wall thickness may reduce the weight of the compressor. This weight reduction may be achieved with little or no increase in the compressor space envelope.

  • Patent number: 7929517
Abstract: A VoIP adapter module for a VoIP phone system switches the phone connection from a broadband connection to a wired connection when a power outage or a broadband disconnection is detected. The switch is accomplished by establishing a connection from a telephone connected to an RJ11 port on the module to a wired channel connected to a backup RJ11 port on the module. Detection for power outage is by comparing the device voltage with a reference voltage, and detection for broadband connection is by sending out a PING packet and waiting to see if a return packet is received.

  • Patent number: 7682980
Abstract: A method for etching a polysilicon gate structure in a plasma etch chamber is provided. The method initiates with defining a pattern protecting a polysilicon film to be etched. Then, a plasma is generated. Next, substantially all of the polysilicon film that is unprotected is etched. Then, a silicon containing gas is introduced and a remainder of the polysilicon film is etched while introducing a silicon containing gas. • Publication number: 20080130891
Abstract: An interface for an integrated circuit (IC) device. The interface includes a scrambler to combine a plurality of plaintext data streams and a pseudorandom key sequence. The scrambler includes a pseudorandom number (PRN) source and a combiner. The PRN source provides a pseudorandom number. The pseudorandom key sequence is based on the pseudorandom number. The combiner receives the plurality of plaintext data streams in parallel and output a corresponding plurality of ciphertext data streams in parallel to another IC device interface. The interface also may include a descrambler to separate a pseudorandom key sequence out of a plurality of parallel ciphertext data streams. By scrambling plaintext data streams and descrambling ciphertext data streams in parallel, the data transmission rate on the IC device may be slower than a data transmission rate used to transfer data between IC devices.
