    Abstract: An exemplary electronic device capable of automatically selecting a power source includes two power ports configured to connect to external power sources and a battery compartment configured to receive a battery module. The voltage of the battery module is higher than at least one of the external power sources. The electronic device further includes a power selection module allocated between the battery module and the power port which selects the lower voltage. Three diodes are respectively located on the output path of the three power sources. A path switch that controls whether power to the device comes from the battery compartment or a power port is located between the anode of the battery compartment and the diode located on the output path of the battery module. Among the multiple power sources, the external power source providing a higher voltage is the first to be chosen to power the electronic device.

The capacitive touch switch and control device in one embodiment includes one or more capacitive sensor elements, one or more resistors, a capacitor, a capacitance/frequency converter, and an antenna including a positive branch and a negative branch. The positive branch and the negative branch synchronously and correspondingly receive a pair of signals from the microprocessor, the pair of signals each undergoing a 180 degree phase shift relative to the other, for shielding the noise acted on the capacitive sensor elements. When any of the capacitive sensor elements is touched, the capacitance/frequency converter outputs a frequency signal to the microprocessor, the microprocessor outputs a control signal that corresponds to the frequency signal to an electronic device to trigger corresponding operations of the electronic device.

The processing unit determines a direction of the input operation according to the coordinates assigned to the sensing signals and a speed of the input operation according to the duration of the timer, and thus moves a cursor displayed on the screen corresponding to the direction and speed. The optical sensor is for periodically capturing images of the reflected light and transmitting information of the images captured to the portable computing device.     Abstract: A touch sensing apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a flip-flop (15), a sensor (13), an AC signal (14), and a detector (16). The AC signal supplies AC signals to the flip-flop. The flip-flop outputs a first output signal at the output of flip-flop when the sensor is not touched. The sensor receives electricity signals from the object, and causes a delay of the AC signal inputted to the first input of the flip-flop, the delay of the AC signal to be inputted to the first input of the flip-flop further causes the flip-flop to output a second output signal at the output of the flip-flop. The detector detects a change from the first output signal to the second output signal at the output of the flip-flop and accordingly identifies a touch on the sensor.
