  • Publication number: 20060082233
Abstract: An automotive alternator according to the present invention includes a rotary shaft, slip rings, a brush holder, brushes, a cover, a seal member, a cooling air flow path, and a water shield. The slip rings are fixed to an end portion of the rotary shaft. The brushes are accommodated in the brush holder and so held by the brush holder as to establish sliding contacts with the slip rings to excite the automotive alternator. The cover covers the end portion of the rotary shaft, the slip rings, the brush holder, and the brushes. The seal member is interposed between the brush holder and the cover. The cooling air flow path is formed between the seal member and one of the brush holder and the cover to supply cooling air to the brushes. • Publication number: 20050285459
Abstract: An alternator for use in an automobile includes a stator supported between a front housing and a rear housing, and a rotor connected to a rotor shaft and rotatably supported inside the stator. A cooling fan is positioned at an end of a pole core of the rotor. The cooling fan is coupled to the rotor shaft by engaging edges of a center opening of the cooling fan with a non-circular flange formed on the rotor shaft. The cooling fan is correctly positioned relative to the rotor shaft, without using a jig, both in the radial direction and in the rotational direction of cooling fan. Noises and vibrations due to rotational imbalance of the cooling fan are suppressed.

  • Publication number: 20050083448
Abstract: An auxiliary plate (10) is fixed to a rear plane of a housing for fixedly holding a lamp unit (6) having a plurality of lamps. In the auxiliary plate (10), a convex portion and a concave portion are combined. The convex portion has a space between the housing and itself, which is formed by protruding a sheet metal, and the concave portion contacts with the housing by denting the sheet metal. In the auxiliary plate 10, an area for mounting a board vulnerable to heat is formed with the convex portion and an air layer performs as heat insulation. The convex and concave portions are arrayed in a direction where heated air easily flows in another area. Thus, rigidity can be remarkably increased compared to a flat-shaped sheet metal, and heat generated by a backlight is effectively dissipated, as well as a temperature rise and an occurrence of a temperature gradient are suppressed.

  • Publication number: 20040115956
Abstract: Since a first processing unit group that forms an interlayer insulating film under atmospheric pressure and a second processing unit group that performs, for example, electron beam or UV irradiation, CVD, cleaning and the like under reduced pressure or under increased pressure are configured to be integrally disposed, a time period necessary for processing can be shortened, particularly in the damascene process, and footprint per processing capacity can be reduced. Furthermore, as the processing time period is shortened in such manner, even when, for example, a porous film is used as an insulating film, the film can be restrained from absorbing moisture in the air thus deterioration in the film quality can be prevented, resulting in forming an insulating film of high quality.
