  • Patent number: 6674203
Abstract: In a stator of a vehicle rotary electric machine, a stator winding includes U-shaped conductor segments having a pair of straight portions disposed in a pair of slots spaced apart at a fixed pitch in layers. Each U-shaped conductor segment has a generally rectangular cross section and a width to fit the slot. The U-shaped conductor segments are formed of large size U-shaped conductor segments and small size U-shaped conductor segments, and each of the large size U-shaped conductor segments has a pair of straight portions disposed at radially opposite ends of the layers and have corners whose radius is larger than corners of the small size U-shaped conductor segments. Therefore, it is easy to form rounded corners at portions of the stator winding thereby to provide uniform insulation coating at surfaces of the stator winding exposed to foreign particles.

  • Publication number: 20030234895
Abstract: A liquid crystal monitor incorporating therein a liquid crystal module having a direct backlight is configured to have receiving portions in a reflector 8 of the direct backlight that constitutes a liquid crystal module 13, in order to attach together the liquid crystal module 13 and a liquid crystal monitor member 12. The receiving portions are constituted by reflector extensions 111 that are formed by extending a bottom face of the reflector 8 toward a space between an inclined face of the reflector and an upper frame 2 of the liquid crystal module 13. Then, the liquid crystal monitor member 12 is fixed to the reflector extensions 111 by screws 407. Thus, the use of a space near the inclined face of the reflector allows a liquid crystal monitor to be thinned and reduced in its size and the width of monitor frame.

  • Patent number: 6617716
Abstract: In a rotary electric machine, a stator coolant passage means including a stator coolant tube and a damping member is provided between the inner periphery of a front housing and a stator core to surround the stator core. Since the stator core is cooled by coolant flowing in the stator coolant tube, heat transmission from the stator core to the damping member is decreased. Thus, the damping member is restricted from deteriorating due to high temperature. Further, an additional coolant tube is provided separately from the stator coolant passage means to cool heat-generating bodies such as a commutating device and a voltage generator. The coolant flows in the stator coolant tube prior to the additional coolant tube so that the coolant flowing in the stator coolant tube is not thermally affected by the coolant flowing in the additional coolant tube.

  • Publication number: 20030122441
Abstract: In a rotary electric machine stator, a stator coil is formed of plural U-shaped conductor segments. Each of the conductor segments has a U-shaped turn portion disposed at one end of a stator core to form one of said coil ends, a pair of in-slot portion extending from the turn portion and inserted into slots and end portions extending from the in-slot portions to form the other coil end. One of the end portions of one of the U-shaped conductor segments extends straight in an axial direction, and the other bends in a circumferential direction by a predetermined angle to provide a wide cooling surface.

  • Publication number: 20030102761
Abstract: A vehicular alternator includes a stator, a rotor, and a housing. The stator has a stator core with a plurality of slots, and a stator coil passing through the slots. The stator coil is constructed of a plurality of electric conductors. Each electric conductor has insert portions located in the slot and a connecting portion connecting the insert portions axially outside of the stator core. The connecting portion has a first curve portion and a second curve portion. The first curve portion is located adjacent to an outer diameter of the stator core and the second curve portion is located adjacent to an inner diameter of the stator core. The first curve portion has a radius curvature larger than that of the second curve portion.

  • Patent number: 6556572
Abstract: In an asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) network, ATM cells received are classified to the queues appropriate to the service classes required by the ATM cells. The status registers manage the controlled delay of the ATM cells for the service classes and the queue length of the ATM cells which queue up in the queues. On the basis of the controlled delay and the queue length, the scheduler adaptively determines a weight, on the basis of which the ATM cells queuing up in the queues are to be forwarded to thereby effectively control the delay of ATM cells to be forwarded.

  • Publication number: 20020149713
Abstract: In a liquid crystal display device there are provided a liquid crystal panel, a chassis, a side reflector, an optical sheet, a diffuser, and a bottom reflector. In the side reflector are provided plural lamp support bases in a row in a direction parallel to the surface of the liquid crystal panel. The lamp support bases are arranged so as to hold low pressure-side end portions of lamps respectively. A return substrate extending in the arranged direction of the lamps is mounted to the lamp support bases on the side opposed to the liquid crystal panel. Further, lead wires are drawn out toward the return substrate from low pressure-side end portions of the lamps, then are allowed to pass through the lamp support bases and are connected to the return substrate. With this arrangement, it is possible to narrow a picture frame area.
