  • Patent number: 6738822
Abstract: A system enables information transmission between a server which serves information by its own communication format and a client which receives service on a general network, with an efficient and simple structure. A conversion server 101 receives a video transmission request message from a client 103 in the HTTP protocol, the conversion server 101 converts the message into a message of a format of a server 102, and transmits the converted message to the server 102. Then, the conversion server 101 returns video data transferred from the server 102 to the client 103 in the HTTP protocol.

  • Patent number: 6686121
Abstract: A resist composition is prepared by reacting an alkali-soluble polymer having a phenolic hydroxyl or carboxyl groups with a vinyl ether compound in an aprotic solvent, such as propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate, in the presence of an acid catalyst, suspending the reaction by the addition of a base, and directly adding a photoacid generator to the reaction solution. When a dialkyl dicarbonate is used in stead of the vinyl ether compound, a resist composition is prepared by carrying out the reaction in the presence of a basic catalyst and adding a photoacid generator directly to the reaction. Thus resist compositions can be prepared without isolating or purifying an alkali-soluble polymer which has been substituted by a catalytic reaction.

  • Patent number: 6606636
Abstract: A scene change automatic detection unit detects a scene change at the time of input storage of a dynamic image in a storage unit, to retrieve the dynamic image as a search key, and a characteristic amount unit calculates a characteristic amount of each scene. The characteristic amount is stored together with the dynamic image in the storage unit. In a retrieval operation, a scene change automatic detection unit detects a scene change of a dynamic image entered and a scene change automatic detection unit calculates a characteristic amount of each scene. A correspondence determination unit compares a characteristic amount of a stored dynamic image and a characteristic amount of a dynamic image entered as a search key and determines the correspondence of these characteristic amounts.

  • Patent number: 6578067
Abstract: In response to a request transmitted by a client through the Fire Wall, a unique service server provides a unique service to the client by using a communication port. Response to an HTTP request which is not directed to the unique service, the unique service server transfers the request to the WWW server without processing, it provides both services by one communication port. A request for acquiring a data service is sent by a client HTTP through the Fire Wall, the unique service server determines the client's request is directed to data provided by the WWW server or directed to the uniquely provided data. If the unique service server determines that the client request is directed to the uniquely provided data, the processing is executed. If the unique service server determines that the client request is directed to data provided by the generally used WWW server, the server transfers the request to the WWW server.

  • Publication number: 20010045983
Abstract: When an access request (a request for transfer of video and audio information or a request for a camera operation) to a camera apparatus connected to a network via a terminal is issued via the network, a camera management server processes the access request on the basis of an access right set by a user (or a manager) using the terminal to which the camera apparatus is connected. That is, the camera management server refers to an access right set file and grants or denies permission to access for the user whose has issued the access request. The user to whom the access permission is granted requests a camera control server to permit a camera operation via a camera control client and thereby can receive an image taken by the camera apparatus and voices collected by the camera apparatus and can perform panning, tilting, and zooming of the camera apparatus.
