  • Publication number: 20060170753
Abstract: An electrostatic attraction fluid jet device of the present invention is so arranged that a nozzle (4) is formed so as to correspond to a meniscus equivalent to a tip portion in the form of a taylor cone formed in a process of an electrostatic attraction of ink (2) as a conventional fluid. A diameter of an ink-ejecting hole (4b) of the nozzle (4) is set to be substantially the same as a diameter of the tip portion, which is about to be ejected, of the meniscus (14) of ink. Moreover, the diameter of the ink-ejecting hole (4b) of the nozzle (4) is set to be equal to or less than a droplet diameter of the ink (2) which has just been ejected. Therefore, it is possible to provide an electrostatic attraction fluid jet device which can realize a recording device which has high resolution, is safe and is highly versatile.

  • Publication number: 20060125363
Abstract: A method is for producing an active matrix organic EL display element by an inkjet method to eject droplets (12) of a liquid via an ejection hole of a nozzle so as to form an organic EL layer. The liquid contains an organic EL layer material. An electrostatic attraction type inkjet apparatus (15) is used whose ejection hole (1b) has a diameter smaller than a diameter of the droplets (12). The droplets are ejected from the nozzle of the electrostatic attraction type inkjet apparatus (15) in such a manner that each of the droplets is 1 pl or less in amount. With this arrangement, the landed droplet dries quickly, and movement of the landed droplet is restricted. This makes it possible to form an organic EL layer accurately with low cost.

  • Patent number: 7049729
Abstract: A positive charge of a sensor element is charged in a signal converting circuit, is converted into a positive voltage, and is outputted. When the polarity of the charge of the sensor element is inverted to the negative and an output of the signal converting circuit is decreased, the leaked charges are superimposed and become the negative. An automatic correction circuit detects the negative output and discharges the charges so as to set the input to “0”. Thus, the offset of the signal level due to the charge leakage is automatically corrected.

  • Patent number: 7003251
Abstract: An image forming method of the present invention begins with a first image transfer step for thermally transferring a first toner image from a first image carrier to a second image carrier contacting it. Subsequently, in a second image transfer step, the first toner image carried on the second image carrier and a second toner image newly formed on the first image carrier are thermally transferred to opposite sides of a recording medium substantially at the same time. Higher image transfer temperature is assigned to the second image transfer step than to the first image transfer step. Additionally, the second image carrier has a greater roughness than the first image carrier.

  • Publication number: 20060029411
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming mechanism and an image fixing unit. The image forming mechanism forms a toner image on a recording sheet. The image fixing unit fixes the toner image onto the recording sheet. The image fixing unit includes a magnetic flux generator, a heat member, a magnetic flux adjuster, and a controlling member. The magnetic flux generator generates a magnetic flux. The heat member is heated inductively by the magnetic flux generated by the magnetic flux generator. The magnetic flux adjuster reduces the magnetic flux active on the heat member to form a heat reduction area in an outer circumferential surface of the heat member in a width direction thereof. The controlling member moves the magnetic flux adjuster to change the heat reduction area.
