  • Publication number: 20070258621
Abstract: This invention provides a method and apparatus for inspecting defects and attachment position of an attached OVD without any influence of a change in the pattern of the OVD due to fluttering or undulation during conveyance of the printed product. Image input means and illumination means are arranged at positions where mirror-reflected light and diffracted light from the OVD have values equal to or less than a threshold value upon a binarization process by image processing means. The illumination means irradiates the surface of a base material with infrared rays or light containing infrared rays. The image input means inputs image data including a wave range of 650 [nm] or more from a region including the OVD attached to the base material. The storage means stores, in advance, reference image data of an OVD serving as a standard or the reference image data and data indicating a reference position and also stores the input image data.

  • Patent number: 7285309
Abstract: A wide slit nozzle having a slit as a discharge opening. The thickness of a lateral end part is set smaller than the thickness at a lateral center part. The thickness of the lateral center part is fixed. The thickness of the lateral end part changes linearly from opposite lateral ends of the lateral center part to the opposite lateral ends of the slit. Coating material is discharged from the slit while applied with pressure, so that the coating material is coated while expanded wider than the width of the slit. The coating material is discharged at 7 liter per minute, and a coating width of a first example is 100 mm, for example. A thickness increase of the overlapped part is +25% even when a width or an overlapped margin z of the overlapped part is 10 mm or 20 mm.

  • Publication number: 20070101174
Abstract: The power supply is effectively controlled in a semiconductor integrated circuit device having a multi domain structure so as to reduce the power consumption. When an interrupt signal is inputted, the system controller makes an instruction of wakeup to the corresponding switch control unit. At this moment, the system controller controls power supply so as to be supplied sequentially from the core power source area belonging to the lower hierarchical level dependent on the core power source area to which power is supplied. The system controller outputs the power supply switch-on request signal to the switch control unit. The switch control unit turns ON the power supply switch and sends the power-on completion signal back to the system controller. Similarly, the system controller supplies power sequentially to core power source areas in the dependency relation one after another from the lower hierarchy to the upper hierarchy.

  • Publication number: 20070078965
Abstract: The presence display system of the present invention displays presences and distances between buddies. The mobile station 11 performs poling to the user data section 26 at predetermined time intervals, transmits location information of the mobile station 11 to the presence server 27, receives buddies state information and information indicating the proximity between the user and the buddies, and displays the presence of the buddies by means of an icon with a size that corresponds with the proximity. The buddy list server 28 calculates the distance between the user and the buddies from the location information of the mobile station 11 and the location information of the requested buddies in accordance with the poling by the mobile station 11, determines the proximity by comparing the distance with a threshold value that is set by the user, and transmits the proximity to the mobile station 11.

  • Publication number: 20060152348
Abstract: A vehicle security device for improving the security level of a vehicle. The vehicle security device is connected to an engine and communicates with a portable device. A smart ECU performs a first coded communication to establish mutual authentication with the portable device. An ID code box is connected to the smart ECU, has a first code and a second code, and does not communicate with the portable device. The ID code box performs a second coded communication using the first code to establish a second mutual authentication with the smart ECU. An engine ECU performs a third coded communication using the second code to establish a third mutual authentication with the ID code box. The engine ECU enables the engine to be started when every one of the first, second, and third mutual authentications are established.

  • Publication number: 20050264591
Abstract: A method of controlling printing is provided, by which poster printing and double-sided printing are realized at the same time by suitably controlling an order of outputting pages for a divided image. A printer 1500 capable of double-sided printing prints two consecutive pages of print data on both sides of a sheet of paper, and a host computer 3000 generates print data such that each of the pages of print data is enlarged and divided and resultant data is printed on a plurality of media. Therefore, a first page of print data is divided into a predetermined number of pieces of print data in accordance with the number of sheets of print paper, and a second page of print data is also divided in the same manner. Next, a particular piece of print data for the first page and a particular piece of print data for the second page are selected from the predetermined number of pieces of print data for each of the first and second pages.

  • Publication number: 20050165979
Abstract: This invention allows an application to set/modify an extension function without opening the user interface of a device driver in an environment in which the function extension of the device driver is implemented in a plugin form. To cause the application to execute printing processing using a printer driver as one of the device drivers and a function extension module having a parameter which cannot be set by the printer driver, the application reserves a memory area having a capacity including a parameter managed by the printer driver and a parameter managed by the function extension module. The application transfers at least the position of the memory area, an identifier for specifying a parameter, and the setting value of the parameter to the printer driver or function extension module to set the setting value in the parameter specified by the identifier of the memory area. The printer driver and function extension module perform printing processing using the parameter of the memory area.

The slit has a first thickness at a lateral center part and a second thickness at opposite lateral end parts. The second thickness of the lateral end part is set smaller than the first thickness at the lateral center part. The first thickness of the lateral center part is fixed. The second thickness of the lateral end part changes linearly from opposite lateral ends of the lateral center part to the opposite lateral ends of the slit. For example, the slit has dimensions: x=15 mm, y=14 mm, a &agr;=0.3 mm and &bgr;=0.6 mm. Consequently, an entire length or an entire width of the slit 2 is 15+14×2=43 mm. However, the coating material is discharged from the slit while applied with pressure, so that the coating material is coated while expanded wider than the width of the slit.
