  • Publication number: 20190212329
Abstract: Newly identified mammalian taste-cell-specific G protein-coupled receptors which function as hetero-oligomeric complexes in the sweet taste transduction pathway, and the genes and cDNA encoding said receptors are described. Specifically, T1R G protein-coupled receptors active in sweet taste signaling as hetero-oligomeric complexes, and the genes and cDNA encoding the same, are described, along with methods for isolating such genes and for isolating and expressing such receptors. Methods for identifying putative taste modulating compounds using such hetero-oligomeric complexes also described, as is a novel surface expression facilitating peptide useful for targeting integral plasma membrane proteins to the surface of a cell.

  • Publication number: 20190141027
Abstract: Disclosed are various examples for providing a single sign-on experience for mobile applications that may or may not be managed. A first application executed in a client device sends an access request to a service provider. The first application receives a redirection response from the service provider that redirects the first application to an identity provider. The first application then receives a further redirection response from the identity provider that causes the first application to request an identity assertion from a second application executed in the client device. The first application receives the identity assertion from the second application. The first authentication then authenticates with the service provider using the identity assertion.

  • Patent number: 10279357
Abstract: An aperture plate is manufactured by plating metal around a mask of resist columns having a desired size, pitch, and profile, which yields a wafer about 60 ?m thickness. This is approximately the full desired target aperture plate thickness. The plating is continued so that the metal overlies the top surfaces of the columns until the desired apertures are achieved. This needs only one masking/plating cycle to achieve the desired plate thickness. Also, the plate has passageways formed beneath the apertures, formed as an integral part of the method, by mask material removal. These are suitable for entrainment of aerosolized droplets exiting the apertures.

  • Publication number: 20190128483
Abstract: An LED tube lamp, comprising: a lamp tube, which includes a light transmissive portion, a reinforcing portion and an end cap; and an LED light assembly, which includes an LED light source and an LED light strip. The light transmissive portion is fixedly connected to the reinforcing portion. The reinforcing portion includes a plurality of bracing structures at endpoints. The bracing structure includes a combination of a vertical rib and a horizontal rib. The LED light strip abuts against the bracing structure, which holds the LED light assembly in place. The LED light source is thermally and electrically connected to the LED light strip. The end cap is attached to an end of the lamp tube. A cross section of the lamp tube defines a hypothetical non-circle curve of constant width.

  • Publication number: 20190128482
Abstract: An LED filament comprises at least one LED section, a conductive section, two conductive electrodes and a light conversion layer. The conductive section is used to electrically connect two adjacent LED sections. The two conductive electrodes are electrically connected to each of the LED sections. Each of the LED sections includes at least two LED chips electrically connected to each other. The light conversion layer covers the LED sections, the conductive sections and the conductive electrodes, and a part of the two electrodes is exposed respectively. Since the LED filament includes the LED section and the conductive section, when the LED filament is bent, the stress is easily concentrated on the conductive section. Therefore, the breakage probability of the conductive wires connected within the LED section is reduced during bending. The quality of the LED filament and its application is improved.

  • Publication number: 20190124073
Abstract: Disclosed are various examples for single-sign on by way of managed mobile devices. For example, an identity provider service can receive a request for an identity assertion from an application executed in a client device. The identity provider service can then detect a platform associated with the client device. A response to the request can be sent based at least in part on the platform, where the response requests authentication by a management credential. Data generated by the management credential is received from the client device, and the management credential is determined to be valid for the identity assertion. The identity assertion is then sent to the client device in response to determining that the management credential is valid for the identity assertion.

  • Publication number: 20190086393
Abstract: The present invention relates to the discovery that the T1R receptors assemble to form functional taste receptors. Particularly, it has been discovered that co-expression of T1R1 and T1R3 results in a taste receptor that responds to umami taste stimuli, including monosodium glutamate. Also, it has been discovered that co-expression of the T1R2 and T1R3 receptors results in a taste receptor that responds to sweet taste stimuli including naturally occurring and artificial sweeteners. Also the present invention relates to the use of hetero-oligomeric taste receptors comprising T1R1/T1R3 and T1R2/T1R3 in assays to identify compounds that respectively respond to umami taste stimuli and sweet taste stimuli. Further, the invention relates to the constitutive of cell lines that stably or transiently co-express a combination of T1R1 and T1R3; or T1R2 and T1R3; under constitutive or inducible conditions.

  • Patent number: 10202027
Abstract: An external rear view mirror protective cover including a main body made of an elastic material and a trimmed edge arranged at one end of the main body that is folded towards an inside surface of main body. Another end of the main body opposite to the trimmed edge is in the shape of a circular arc. The main body includes a mirror opening, also formed with a trimmed edge, that is arranged to accommodate a rear view mirror. Securing bands are arranged on the trimmed edge. The elastic material is nylon, lycra or latex. The mirror opening is square or elliptic in shape. The protective cover is suitable for various kinds of rear view mirror due to its use of elastic material. The trimmed edge can effectively prevent the cover from sliding from the rear view mirror. The cover can effectively protect the external rear view mirror from external scuffing and damage caused by collision.
