  • Publication number: 20080266220
Abstract: A scan driver for a liquid crystal display (LCD) includes first and second address logic units, first and second level shifters and a decoder. The first address logic unit enables an ith first address signal among N first address signals during a Kth clock period according to a control signal, wherein the number i is equal to a remainder of K/N. The second address logic unit enables a jth second address signal among M second address signals during the Kth clock period according to the control signal, wherein the number j is equal to a quotient of K/N plus 1. The first and second level shifters respectively increase swings of the first and second address signals. When the ith first address signal and the jth second address signal are enabled, the decoder enables a (j?1)×N+i)th scan signal among M×N scan signals.

  • Publication number: 20080128050
Abstract: The invention is related to a pencil sharpener with automatic shut-off, especially at the end of the pencil rail there is a push-pin on a slider, which can slide backward to hit against a tab in the center of the swing rod, so the hooks on the two sides of the swing rod can touch a brake switch after rotation and shut off operation of the power device to stop the sharpening mechanism. Through this, upon completion further inward movement of the pencil allows the pencil tip to press the push-pin and stop the motor, which prevents wastes by excessive sharpening.

Abstract: A method for controlling an apparatus to perform a multi-layer chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) process with a polishing rate for a plurality of process runs. For each process run, a multilayered structure with a first thickness formed on a wafer is polished and a second thickness of the multilayered structure is predetermined to be polished away. The method comprises steps of receiving a post-CMP thickness information of the multilayered structure of a first process run, wherein for the first process run, the CMP process is performed for a first CMP process time. Then, a second CMP process time is determined according to the first CMP process time, the first thickness and the post-CMP thickness. Further, the second CMP process time is provided to the apparatus for processing a second process run posterior to the first process run.
