  • Patent number: 7391402
Abstract: A method for driving an In-Plane switching (IPS) mode LCD device is disclosed. The IPS mode LCD device includes gate and data lines crossing each other to define pixel regions; thin film transistors (TFTs) alternately positioned at lower and upper side pixel regions adjacent to the corresponding gate lines; and common lines of a zigzag type along the thin film transistors in the pixel regions. A common voltage is applied, wherein a first common voltage or a second common voltage is inversely applied to even numbered common lines or odd numbered common lines in one vertical period to be synchronized with a scanning signal supplied to the first gate line, and a gate Low voltage supplied to each gate line is classified into 2 levels, and inverted in synchronization with the common voltage, thereby improving the coupling of a pixel voltage on swing of a common voltage.

  • Publication number: 20080118576
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel algorithm that uses molecular profile signatures to extrapolate the physiological processes of one type of cell set (e.g., cell line, tissue, normal or diseased) to predict the activity of an agent or agents against another type of cell set that has never been exposed to the agent in question (drug efficacy prediction). The novel algorithm also allows one to predict the therapeutic response of a patient to a therapeutic regimen even though the patient (or patients) may have never been exposed to that agent before, thereby allowing for selecting a therapeutic agent or combination of agents that would best suit the patient (i.e., personalized medicine). The present invention also relates to methods of using the agents identified by the novel algorithm to treat a variety of diseases, including cancer.

  • Publication number: 20080028582
Abstract: A fur lace made of two or more artificial or natural fur pieces with pile fibers projected in a direction, a method for manufacturing a fur product, and a fur lace and a fur product manufactured by the method are disclosed. The leather portions of side fur pieces sewn at both sides of a center fur piece are utilized as a margin to sew up, rather than a bias tape for sewing a fur lace to a cloth or a general product, to thereby simplify manufacturing procedures and achieve aesthetic enhancement by changing direction of pile fibers and increasing the density of pile fibers of a specific part. When the fur lace is sewn on a cloth, bag, or other products, cut portions and seam line of a fur are completely covered by pile fibers or exposed to achieve aesthetic enhancement.

  • Publication number: 20040263745
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device has pixel regions defined by gate lines and data lines perpendicular to the gate lines. The gate electrodes of thin film transistors (TFTs) at a first side of the data lines project from the gate lines. Active layers are disposed on the gate electrodes. Source electrodes overlap the active layers. Drain electrodes are parallel to the gate lines, spaced from the source electrodes and overlap the active layers. Pixel electrodes formed on the pixel region are connected to the drain electrodes. This structure prevents poor picture quality by minimizing the differences between the parasitic capacitance formed between the gate electrode and the drain electrode in adjacent pixel regions even if Y- or X-axis misalignment occurs.
